Hmm. 3 days & no new ideas for victory conditions. I guess not too many people are interested in this topic.

With a small map and playing as militaristic Japan, the most obvious course to victory is conquest/domination, ala RBD2. If we specify those as the victory conditons, to rule out culture-based OCCs etc, we could say fewest cities founded -- how far can you stretch limited resources? That's easy to calculate, and de-emphasizes the early finish aspect. I like this one, but it introduces a bit of variant flavour.
Right now we're still defaulting to score, I guess. It'll probably be ok anyway if we keep an eye on things, so I guess that should work out.

I ended up on Team B? Well that's easy for me to remember, since my name is Bob.
By luck, I checked thread B first, and have not peeked into A or C at all. However, that WAS by luck. I suggest coordinating through this thread, and listing the teams here.
Also, what sort of messages can/should each team post here about their progress/results? Is that limited to "we have finished the game"?

Yes, each team is limited to "we have finished". Once the team is finished, they may take a look at the other threads, but maintain silence until the last team has finished.

Since Charis is not in any of the games, Arathorn suggested that he might post general stuff to this thread that would be of interest to all teams without giving anything away about how the game is going, like for instance what year each of the games is at. Anyone have an opinion on the matter, and on what could be posted? (Smegged, this means you, since it's your show!)

While I appreciate that Charis is able to spectate these games, revealing such details even as minor as the game date could post spoilers. A team may be knocked out early (I doubt it, but it could happen), and revealing a gamedate could actually act as a spoiler of some kind. That's why nobody should even post anything more than "finished" in this thread until all three teams are done.
EDIT: besides, you can get an indication of where the other teams are at just by looking at the size of the thread and how many pages are in it. While not 100% accurate, it's a good indication.

Do you have room for one more? I have never played in a succession game before and will probably need a little help to make sure I don't do anything wrong. I usually play Monarch and do prety well (except for GOTM5, which I lost with a histograph defeat in 2050).

Well, Charis, if you can't post stuff here, at least visit us in our threads from time to time, and give us your opinion on how our version of the game has progressed (relative to what you would have done, not relative to what the others did!) We get so lonely for feedback and amusing commentary, cooped up in our little isolation chambers, sequestered from all other visitors... the latter being confined to isolation chambers of their own...
