Rbw2 - Angry Korea Man

ps. Techs went Liberalism->Nationalism->Metal Cast.->IW->Machinery, with an eye to Grenadiers, but Cavs could be fun too :hammer:[/QUOTE]

I would go for cavalry and then grenadiers. Afterwards, I would keep one city churning grenadiers "just in case".

I have it. Other than taking vengeance on China, any suggestions for my turn set?
China is too far away to be worth attacking, just see off his raiders (but no pikes); we should be preparing for war with Hannibal. HE ATTACK SUPER KOREA: HE MUST DIE!

Other than that, trade some tech (Khan and Mansa will make interesting offers), learn Drama, whip away some angry citizens (theatres, markets, etc.). Then Chemistry as the next military tech.

Mao's raiders are knights! You are in MAJOR TROUBLE now!

lurker's comment:
What is it about ANGRY KOREA that has so many lurkers turning against it?

I debated even making this comment, as this thread is starting to feel SPAMMED.

I'm sorry if you feel my "comment" is out of place. It was just for fun.

I really like this game, it's an interesting challenge, going rather well from what I see.

I've been hoping I'd hear some discussion, but not so far. I'll probably play tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll pose some questions. Where are we putting which national wonders, and why? What's our long-term goal here? I'm imagining domination victory, because of the theme, but amenable to other ideas. Which directions should we be heading in the tech tree? The logical ones are the Rifling beeline, the Military Tradition beeline, and Chemistry.

I know I'm weird, but I always have a long-range plan in mind for my games, and I have trouble seeing what to do without one :).

Well in my turnset the Heroic Epic had already been started somewhere (I forget where), it was an ok city for it though- moderate hammer production, but no perfect because I think the city also has good commerce potential so it was not a perfect choice. The National Epic should go in the Great Library city.

Techs- Chemistry, Mil. Trad. and Rifling are the highest priorities.

Long Term- I would like to see about 15 turns of peace where we build a ton of the Korean unique buildings in the high commerce cities-> then I would like payback Hannibal for that unprovoked war declaration then move onto FDR. Then when we share a border with Mao we go for him.

Further to my previous advice, we have built the National Epic in Illinois (GLib synergy); HE will be completed in Pyongyang in 4. Forbidden Palace will come later, maybe once we've relieved Hannibal of the burden of managing his lands.

In terms of our ANGRY variant, I think we should eliminate any Civ that declares war on us; thus Domination/Conquest would be appropriate victories to aim for.

In terms of this turnset, I suggest that you'll be putting out fires, plotting a path to Chemistry, and trading some techs. MT and Rifling are further off and we need some better units than Muskets, and soon.

Korea enters the Gunpowder Age (in Rise of Nations Terms:D )

Remember, the best defense is a good offense.
