Rbw2 - Angry Korea Man

Wow, Hwachas in battle!:hammer: :hammer:

It looks like the game knew your variant when a tribal village gave monarchy to you.:D

ME LIKE KOREA! ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THEY NOW HAVE EDUCATION!

So is it really my turn? I sort of figured when I moved to the end of the list it was a permanant change, but I can go next if need be.

Also - any thoughts on what the next turnset should involve?
Just grab it (or Kodii could too), whoever gets to it first can play first.

The next turn set- go for Liberalism young man!

@sunrise089 - the military situation is as follows: there's a wave of troops heading northwest to ex-Germany. The go-tos are cancelled. However, there is a Longbow/Cat pair near our northern scouting LB. Keep an eye on their movements.

There are some workers chopping a forest at Seoul for its Seowon. The turn after the chop it should be pop-rushed. Then refocus on hammers and commerce while the whip anger dies down. Switch to military. Most other cities are already building units.

When Taoism is done, choose Gunpowder: we don't have a counter to Bismarck's HAs on open ground. Only HWACHA ANGER let me get the win in my set. The AI seem quite backwards (Bismarck's only just got Feudalism) so we can get this before starting Liberalism.

I started NE in Illinois (for synergy with the Great Library) but it's not an urgent requirement. The missionary from Taoism (assuming we get there first) should go to Seoul, so that further down the line we can build a temple and assign a second priest.

I would ordinarily go for liberalism in this situation. But wow, I never thought about Horse Archers (oooh, German Horse Archers) being a HUGE threat to the Korean Army in a situation like this (with your variant, that is!) :) :D

Turn 1: Kahn declares on Bismark! Our anger has spread! Hannible is starting to get ANGRY that we won't join him in fighting the Americans. He will now be even ANGRIER! Citizens in P'Yang are ANGRY that their city is unhealthy, I tell them to Shut Up when they damand an aquaduct. Archer/Cat pair in the North move away from us. Frankfort: Barracks->Hwacha

Turn 2: Mansa offers Metal Casting and 90g for Paper, but I decline since we're not going directly to Liberalism. Horse archer outside Munich starts to pillage, and I can't stop it in time to keep the Cottage. Longbow does take Formation promotion though in order to be able to attack Horse Archer next turn at favorable odds. Results of that battle next turn. Seoul has it's forest chop finished, but is no longer unhappy, so I allow it's build to continue without using the whip.

Turn 3: Philosophy finishes. Taoism is founded in Berlin. Missionary is sent to Seoul. I choose not to switch to Pacifism (we're far to ANGRY!). Research set to gunpowder. Longbow dies at 65% odds attacking horse archer ouside Munich, Hwacha in the city finishes it off. Berlin has a small AI stack of 3 units moved outside it. I don't think I have the forces to take the stack out and not risk loosing the city.

Turn 4: Bismarck attacks Berlin, he is left with one injurded horse archer, we loose no units and clean up the horse archer with a Hwacha. Bismarck moves his Longbow off of his horse supply, I move my Longbow onto it and will pilliage if I survive to the next turn.

Turn 5: Bismarck moves his longbow away from our city, and I pillage his horses. We also take the lead in score.

Turn 6: Missionary spreads Taoism to the capitol. Longbow that pillaged the horses moves to pillage Bismarcks cottages (we need all the gold we can get, research is around 50-60%.

Turn 7: Army begins to assemble near Cologne, next player may be able to take it.

Turn 8: Seoul finishes University, starts Taoist monestary.

Turn 9: I realize how stupid I have been to completely pillage down a villiage FROM A CITY WE'RE ABOUT TO CAPTURE! And I claim to be a Monarch level player :) I also whip a market in Berlin, which is massivly starving due to unhappiness.

Turn 10: Collosium is whipped in Berlin, which is now happy. Perhaps it would have been much smarter to have whipped a Granary and Barracks, but I took the hint from whoever had qeued up the market that that was the way to go.

Worker status - I should have canceled all the orders. Many workers have been moved to the North, which is fairly safe and in need of improving.

Military status: Most cities are continueing to build longbows and hwachas until gunpowder completes. The main army is in the forest west of Cologne and ready to take promotions and move out.

Finally a shot of the military front: Our stacks in the area are 1 longbow and 5 hwachas in the northern tile, and 3 longbows and 6 hwachas on the southern. One more of each unit can arrive there in a few turns.

Hmm...so it would seem I can't add files to a post after I have posted it. So here are the relevent files for the above:

Medieval Conquest! (without heavy infantry, that is:lol:   )

Musketmen? I think Knights would be the chosen ones for Horse Archer killing operations. It doesn't matter now though.

Got it. I'll probably play tomorrow.

Kodii, "tomorrow" is almost over. Are you going to play late in the night. Guess I'll have to read your story in the morning (I have to go to sleep in 3 minutes.) .

The ANGRY KOREA continued their wrath against the ugly grey people.

The AIs were ANGRY too. Mansa declared war on Genghis.

GLORIOUS KOREA!

Keep in mind to stay on defensive terrain. Otherwise, knights will cut you to shreds.

Do you have any trebuchets?

Angry Great People, heh? I wonder what you're going to do with them.:mischief:

lurker's comment: @Swein Forkbeard

Is there a reason why you posted the same pictures again in a quote. While my connect is good, I know that people with slow connections get killed loading pictures...

LKendter, it doesn't really work well if I try to quote part of a post. Plus, I commented on the whole post there.:D
