(Re)install ???

I have over 400 hours spent playing CIV5, I hadn't played since Nov., 2011 and when I tried to play Steam says that I have to Install the game??? What gives? The game is already installed and I played many hours with it....now I have to reinstall it???

Things like this REALLY make me hesitant to get any games that use Steam.

I don't know what message you see, but could it maybe also be that only some patches are meant ?
