Not yet... They are quite popular with the people, and have so far only contributed to our DG. But if party politics get out of hand, we may well have to amend to remove them. CFC's experience in this matter would be a good political argument should it come to this.
Another thing I've always wondered about is turnchats. I've seen them here and at Poly and I can't quite get my mind around it - are they really that useful? The 1BC Constitution is set up so, that the various Departments make and present plans, the Assembly as a whole votes on them, then the President carries them out. If something pops up that was not covered in the plans, the Pesident freezes the game and awaits a new Assembly decision. This requires either very detailed plans (useful early on or in delicate manoeuvers) or plans that allow the president some slack (useful as the game becomes larger).
