In others a relative of the Emperor and a princess of France will be set to greet a Russian prince. Princess Alexandrine Marie Bonaparte will be set forth, while His Imperial Majesty continued to bless investment in Russia and encourages other business in other lands to invest.

ooc: I'm going to presume that this princess is a niece of the Emperor of France, or a daughter to a previous marriage (ex-wife currently deceased) seeing as a Russian princess marrying a divorced Emperor would be absolutely impossible (if this is the case Ailedhoo, the second marriage arrangement would be immediately cancelled). Likewise for the record, since Ailedhoo sprung this second request on me after the first request was agreed too, I am going back and deleting the assumption I made that the French princess was a daughter of the current Emperor, and changing the reference to simply a "French princess" (to cover for say a niece, on the basis that a royal marriage can only proceed to legitimate children, bastards being excluded on principle. This would also allow for a daughter if the Emperor did have a previous wife who kicked the bucket after giving him a daughter [presumably on the basis of the disappointment])

TREATY WITH RUSSIA!
Maximilian III accepts yet another treaty with Russia in where they agree to break up Europe between them. Basically the HRE will get Central Poland and Dalmatia.
KINGDOM OF CROATIA FOUNDED!
OOC: I'm not releasing a puppet state, vassal or whatever. The unification of the HRE made the former states of the HRE (kingdoms included) subdivisions within the Empire, not puppet states.
As soon as the treaty was announced, the Empire conquered most of Croatia in order to gain access to the Mediterranean, something that would surely help the Imperial income. While much of the conquered territory went to Austria, the rest of the conquered territory was incorporated into the newborn Kingdom of Croatia and it was given to the sister of the Emperor, Marie Caroline. As soon as next year arrives, the Emperor will strike out the rest of Croatia and give it out to her. He will also attack Poland and will give it to his 10 year old son, Jonathan.

He, however, fears that these conquests (and specially now that he is considering colonizing Africa or Asia) will overexite separists. Therefore, he orders an expansion of the army and the creation of a new fleet.

The French offer to buy Meidrida if need be to secure it; we wish not our dispute with the Swiss to interfere with French colonial aims.
As for the Citizen Vanguard and the Revolutionary Council who protest against their Emperor then it will known that the Emperor is prepared to have a great meeting to determine the willing of the future of France but know that the Eagle will remain on the throne with absolute authority. Hence I will prove the strength of France; as you all know we are doing well in the colonial and have seized important asset in Persia in the form of Bandar Abbas. I vow to increase the prestige and power of the French ever more.
Any rate; what ever the final decision is set in reaction to the Vanguard and Council the French Empire must expand.
The Emperor will not be remembered for failing to expand for the Civilization Mission and France!

Of my council I am asked...
"We notice the Vanguard have a lot of funds; this French funds or foreign? Are the Vanguard being hired by foreign powers? Betraying the French?"
If a riot breaks loose the Vanguard will have French blood on their hands. I am prepared to mobilise my armies to defend Paris. I have watched France bloom and am repaid with violent threats.
We cannot trust the Vanguard to rule in high politics of diplomacy. Mobilise the army for defence of Paris and the Emperor!

EXPANSION INTO CROATIA, CREATION OF THE KINGDOM OF POLAND AND CREATION OF THE PROTECTORATE OF KOREA

The HRE continues to expand into the influence zones agreed upon with Russia. The HRE has annexed what was left of Croatia and created a kingdom (temporarily in exile) for Poland (OOC: Read what I say about Croatia, it still applies here). The HRE, in addition, has also expanded into Korea. This was done because, the Emperor is starting to feel it is the duty of the Empire to civilize the rest of the world, and since theire is much competition in Southeastern Asia, and while the Emperor doesn't deny the possibility of colonizing it, Korea is also a very good place to civilize. It has many heathens desesperate for civilization and it also makes a good trade center.
This, however, worries much of the diet, fearing the evergrowing dissidency of the subjects of the Empire, who stubbornly refuse the fact that the Empire shall never be the anarchic political mess it once was. The Empire, while they want to keep peace in Europe, the internal peace of the Empire is also very important and therefore, it shall continue with the expansion of the army to moderate levels, as unfortunately for a long time the army has been ignored. The Emperor also wants to encourage a plan to lower the period of conscription, much to the outrage of the electors. While such measure might affect the economic situation of the Empire, truth is, that the Empire has a booming economy, and a few small expenses won't hurt it.

Emperor Napoleon II has ordered the clearing of Vanguard camps in Paris using the army, as well as the ordering of executions for Vanguard leaders. The conservative high command, however, is now reporting that the middle officer corps has been breached with Vanguard sympathies, and many mid-ranking officers are refusing to open fire on the protesters, and are manning the camps.

Also, your chieftain (OOC: Emperor) is given the honor to be invited to Beijing and meet with the Celestial Emperor and have the honor to personally kowtow before him. This is an honor only a few mortals manage to obtain, so you can consider yourself lucky.

Meidrida will be given up, for we cannot maintain it in this crisis. The Vanguard have cost us a colonial procession. We hope we could attend the HRE's meeting but for now we face the Vanguard.
All loyal forces are to prepare to defend the Emperor. However... I cannot allow the costs of so many French. I... sacrifice the throne for France and request asylum in the USA with my Russian wife. May my successor heed pragmatism... and the Civilization Mission succeed.
