No, the both of you are in the area near the grey square...

I'm sorry, charles, this hasn't been easy for you :p could i perhaps recommend to you the apples to the north? (the map will expand alot in that direction, if you do choose there...)

Pinman is the one near the green circle north of fazure...

Oops, you're right, I was looking at the wrong post.

Getting impatient for the update... Must have update :D...

Yeah, i have all the orders, but ti's too hot to want to do much, and i
m leaving in a few minutes to go swimming in a friend's lake...

maybe tomorrow or teusday... okay?

So, i have the update itself done, and most of the writeup...

Unfortunately, the map isn't working well.

do you want the update now, and the map whenver i convince it to work, or do we want to wait?

Both together, we'll wait.

I just decided i'm going to recreate the map, as the old one is unworkable... (i'll still be using the same base, it's just that the file for the version with the layers is corrupted, and wont open... DAMN!)

Update 1

Thor’s second orbit over what was once southern United States presented many changes. In two years, much had happened.

A patchwork of organized fields lay where before harsh forest had grown. Zooming in, Thor could see that the growth was a variant of wheat… evidently, one of the Virus resistant strains. Judging from the size of the growth, the innovative farmer who had managed to mass-produce this strain was in Echijania, on the outskirts of the city of Echajin.

Echijania itself had grown recently (as had most of the kingdoms,) they had grown to fill most of their island, and the coast of that north of their kingdom. Similar small-scale expansion happened in all the other empires… well almost all.

In the Pirate Kingdom of the Cove, expansion was ruthless, as the seven pirate lords ravaged the coast, subjugating it. The steady supply of slaves was put to work in the cove area, working on shipyards and harbors and docks. In this manner, the coastline west of the cove was conquered, reportedly under the command of the Pirate King himself. Hannah the Hood, most ruthless of the pirate lords led the attack eastwards and northwards. The bay area north of The Cove was conquered, and its flow of slaves joined that of the east. However, as Hannah pushed more and more inland, the expertise of the pirate crews lessened. There were none better for attacking from a ship, for fighting hand to hand on the moving deck of a boat, but inland, where jungle grew, they were out of place… especially against the natives, who, after the first offerings of peace were killed, waged a guerilla war against the pirates. Hannah the Hood was forced to fall back, towards the fortified coastal positions, to gather a larger army.

The rage of the natives spread inland, and led to a great cultural upheaval. One tribe, living near an outcropping of a gray metal took advantage of the strife. Striking at the tribes nearby, the tribe of Irony, became the Ironic Empire. Armed with Metal tools and weapons, they will undoubtedly become a force to be reckoned with.

Two nations sent out parties to explore the unknown. The River Navy of the Dominion was sent upriver to explore. Though they traveled for weeks and food grew scarce, they found nothing of interest, save a few tribes.

Similar fate befell the explorers from the Myamevalle Lordship. They trekked through forest and wasteland due northwards, and as a reward came upon a great body of water, around which there was no travel… dejected and disappointed they returned home.

The nation of Galladoria experienced great growth, as did the Empire, both new founding cities.

Brutality was not reserved solely for the cove. The nation of Singordia expanded along the two rivers to the north of it, subjugating and enslaving the population… even more brutal, they devoured the corpses of their enemies. No mercy was shown, and the natives quickly realized they would have to fight to not die.

Within Their own lands, even harsher brutalities were being committed, though only dark rumors reached the other empires…

I gave everyone a certain amount of expansion, even if they didn't specifically emntion it in thier orders.

Why are the locations of the countries of me and Pinman listed in our stats? And why is the location of my capital in mine?

The pirates did well :).

Resources: Horses

Basic Stuff: A city based on breeding, racing, and butchering the vast amount of horses close by. Small amount of cattle is 'Ranched' and eventually the city found out its weakness: only about 100 horses (i.E. 1/37th of a resource) and about 200-2000 residents when news of conquering armies reached it. Using the horses as an asset, they convinced the surrounding towns to join in knowlegde and will work to get the horses.

Major stuff later: To Thomas: you are a lifesaver!

Vharles, whee's your location? (and as far as i can remember, there are no horses and cattle on the map...) those come later, if you want to wait a bit?
