Should fit most of these traits, but I can deal with one not being there:

- Moderate difficulty;
- Muslim;
- Fights Mongols a fair amount;
- Strong early and mid-game, don't care about late.

If you want to fight the mongols and be muslim you have 2 choices: Egypt and the Turks

I'm going to say Egypt is probably the best civ for you. Turks are better in the late game, but in the early game Egypt is a lot easier (plus, you won't be at war with the Byzantines almost immediately).

Wow, this is quite annoying. I'm having trouble finding the cities in the middle of the desert. Do I just have to wait for the Moors to conquer the entire African coast and then ask for map information, or is there a map online I can use?

Don't go farther west than Tripoli. Let the moors stay in West Africa. The distance between cities in Africa means it takes a long time to capture a small amount of cities. Concentrate on the Mid East and Turkey.

I could bribe all the settlements if I knew where they were.

There is ONE city between Egypt and Tunis, Tripoli, which is actualy rather close to Tunis. I got a paper map with my compy fo M2... there is also ONE city directly across from ehypt on the other side of Red Sea that controls that huge patch of desert in the east.

^^ just make sure you turn of "show other faction's moves" or somthing like that when you do use that cheat...it crashed my whole system:(

Oh yeah most def. it wil take for ever, which is why I turn it off durring war and just watch the enemy troops close to me ;)

I do wish there were some random map like civ thou :(

On the brightside they can be created :D when I get a strong comp. I will develop some ;)

I think its riddiculous for the game to start with you only knowing the existence of yourself. Also its annoying to get your diplomat to travel halfway across Europe to update the map regulary so I use the FOW code. But I barely consider it cheating. Maps in the medieval era are redrawn regulary in 6 months

I agree, at the very least you should have a updated map of everyone in your religion.
