Recommend me a mod!

Rhye's and Fall of Civilization is a must play. The only possible maybe reason not to try it is if you have an extremely old and sad computer that cant keep up with its turns. The kind where dust comes out of the vents and tiny gerbils make the video card work. Outside of that its an amazing mod and everyone should play it.

Outside of that I really like The Ancient Mediterranean (TAM). Im not sure if its been updated to the latest version of BtS but if it has I would try it out. And of course Fury Road (mad max style post-apoclypse) and Necro Cristi (zombie maddness) are worth try trying for a new take on Civ4.

So much free goodness.

Yes they have added a small patch that allows TAM to be playable in the latest BTS version.

Hello fellow civ fanatics.

I've not tried a new mod for quite a while now and I've lost track of where the various mods are in terms of development. I'm too lazy to read through all the mod descriptions so I thought I would just do a shout for other people's recommendations as to a good mod to try.

I normal play BtS on Huge, Epic, and Emperor settings.

I'm looking for something that will be a big game with lots of variety at different stages of the game.

Rise of Mankind looks nice, but that's all I've really looked at in detail. I guess I'm kind of looking for the Civ4 equivalent of the MTW2 'Stainless Steel' mod.

I suppose I could use this opporitunity to hawk my own mod, Fictionalization Iv, link in my sig. It's still in its beta version, but I'd still love the feedback from anyone who plays it.

As for other mods, I pretty much agree with the other sentiments in this thread. Rhye's is a must, as is FfH2.

I'm going to have to recommend Rise of Mankind. Its a great mod that allows other civs to revolt against the reigning empire, adds new eras to the game, and doubles the current tech tree, adds new religions, new civics, over 50 new civilizations, and new resources, hundreds of new buildings and wonders, new games speeds, new mapscripts, new scenarios, need I go on? It is really more of an Expansion Pack than a mod, but it is awesome.
