So, I was playing a game and founded a religion. Egypt had founded Islam, and unidentified civs found both Christianity and Zoroastrianism.

WHen I got another Great Prophet and enhanced my religion, I was taken to the religion menu again (where you see all the icons of the religions). When I moused over the ones for Christianity and Zoros, it told me that they were founded by Hiawatha and Darius respectively, though I had not yet met these civs in-game.

Definitely not game changing, but still kinda weird. Anyone else getting this?

I hadn't noticed that, but I will look in the future. It's not really an exploit of a bug, but it's nice to get an idea of what your up against before you send out the caravels.

I noticed it too in my game... it was probably just something so tedious and the devs probably didn't want to have to come-up with extra text menus to make sure it wouldn't do that or maybe it slipped their minds completely.

I have a Mac version and my problem is, when I try to found a religion. I got stuck, because the found a religion button does not respond. So basically, I cannot do next turn. I can do other stuff but next turn can't be clicked since the Found Religion yellow button is still there.

I noticed it in my game last night too. I got into work today and was about to post about it, but you beat me too it.

This also happened with City States, the instance you first met a City State, i'd tell you the actual identity of their allies, only once you re-enter their screen will it appear "Unmet Player"

With the new layout for City States, I'm unsure if this is still the case for CS.

But it is bit spoilerish to know your rivals.

I've also noticed that the date of the founded is bit broken, it will say the date the religion was enhanced, instead of the original founding date (I enhanced Christianity at 0 A.D once xD)

Not sure if this has been identified (I tried searching and looking at bug lists ... honestly :))

When I am able to found a religion, and the screen is displayed allowing you to select the religion to found, you can hover over the other religion icons, and it will tell you the name of the Civ that founded it.

You will see the names of Civ's that you have not yet encountered.

I don't think it should do this. It should show you something like "Founded by an unmet civilization"

Agreed that this is a bug. Attached is a save game that illustrates the problem. Playing as Korea, I can found a religion. When I do so, the Found a Religion screen shows that Christianity has already been founded by Haile Selassie and Zoroastrianism by Darius I. I haven't met either of these Civs.
