the religion beliefs 1% gold and 1% science do nothing i have plenty of followers yet in the panel it says i am getting no gold or science from religion.

Again, a save showing the problem will increase chances that the issue can get explained - or fixed.

I assumed that he refered to Religious Communities (giving 1% production bonus per follower up to a max of 15) in case of production, but I agree on science - not sure what he means here and another reason why a save is needed.
