As you know, reputation is not taken into account in final score calculation. does anyone really care about your civ's reputation?

In my games, if enemy civs break treaty often, I will usually do the same to them. In a few games my reputation was "atrotious".

. I find it aestheticly pleasing to have my AI opponets think highly of my character while I am gutting them.

That's very Machiavellian of you, Lefty.

In Civ 1, the computer players don't learn from each others' mistakes. If you find a civilization you have not met before, they will trust you until you do something bad to _them_. Of course, by then it's usually too late... HAHAHAHAAHAHA!!!!

This blatant example of SPAMMAGE will not go unnoticed by my Ethics Council.

But aside from that, if they backstab, I backstab, but is their reputation hurt? NO!

And SunTzu, I like the flames personally.

Who cares what ones reputation is??
And what their reputaion is - I don't!!
I usually don't do anything that can compromise my own rep. until late in the game, but really what does it mater, they hate you because your bigger and the always sneak attack.

Reputation doesn't matter in your score, but in the rules.txt, you can make it matter. For each level of rep, eg. excellent, honourable, you can set it on how many points you lose. You can also set how many points you lose for unit casualties, but that would suck!

Reputation only counts in the begginning of the game, when you want to demand tribute, so when i become republic/democracy, cause demand tribute doesn't work under these governments I give **** *** about my reputation.

I always try to keep my rep intact, purely for aesthetic reasons. I didn't know about changing the rules to include it in the score. I may have to play with that. Personally, I think it should automatically be included in the score in some small way. Not enough to discourage folks like TF

, but provide a little reward for folks like me and Lefty, SunTzu, Stellar, et al.

Further to what vladmir said about the Rules.txt and making reputation affect game score...

Has anyone done this and given yourself +1 for every enemy unit destroyed? Hehehehe.
