Request: more alerts

Can someone please make a mod with more alerts?

Here are some that come to mind.

City growth alert past pop 5: late game micro is no fun checking cities for new pop growth and making sure the governor has the pop assigned to the right tile.

Spy one turn away from steal science mission: gives the player time to switch to higher priced tech to get more science.

AI gets a new city or gains affinity level: allow the player to adjust to changing environment

I'd be willing to do the work myself, but have zero experience with modding and wouldn't know where to begin.

The linked mod also provides a framework for adding your own notifications (but you'll need to be able to write the Lua code to detect what you want to send a notification about)
