Request Swiss Mod

has anyone ever made a swiss mod? i searched half the forum but couldn't find any? or am i the only swîss guy in here ?

if no swiss mod exists i would be open for suggestions, so i could do it myself.

as a uu i'd probably take the halbardier (kind of a pikeman).

so if anyone has any suggestions don't hesitate, i'm all eyes....

Well if your talking about a translation to Swiss from the U.S/any other version I think your out of luck. A couple weeks back a group of german moder's were shutdown when their German translation was found out by Firaxis. The team at Firaxis has said that they didn't want to do it, but that it owuld effect the sales they planned to release throughout Europe. If your talking about a Swiss civilization to play, well then i'm sure someone can help ya'. However I'd warn against any translation mod's due to the german story, otherwise good luck.

I'm planning it for a long time (search for my posts if u want)
I haven't civ 3 yet(because of many reasons) n i think i'm gonna buy it next week.
I know Switzerland(my father worked there for 2 years n half) ,i lived with him a little bit n hope that i'll be able to live there again.
I think Switzerland is the best country in the world : D

ahh, at last somebody answers my prayers
i once started doing a mod myself, but it turned out i was to stupid to do it, i just couldn't get it right, and i don't even try doing any graphics.

i have to agree about the thing with the best country in the world i really enjoy living here.


well, i'm living in a small village in baselland about 25km from basel. so it's practically at the other end of switzerland, but i regulary go to graubünden (brigels) to perform my military service... . but apart from the military service i liked it very much there.

so where are you from?

I'm not an expert in custumization as well but i'm sure i'll succeed.
I come from Le Havre;it's in Normandy(i left it in Dec98).I've been living in Bordeaux for a month.
I'm gonna put a better pikeman as special unit as well.
