After using the latest update from RFCRand I still have some requests regarding the next update:

1) Please improve the map, especially around starting positions and not just of those middle age civs. I often saw Babylonia, Persia, India, and Egypt totally crapped because of lack of food. With the early civs being more developed when the next civs come in, the chance that cities flip are more likely. (In turn, research rates for the early game could be tuned down)

2) Please make ALL civs available even at the smaller earth maps. There's plenty room to fill!

3) Improve the map for India, as for now they almost always are totally sorrounded by improvable jungle.

Thanks!

In the first version, the Russian UHV required cities to be at least 5 tiles away from the capital, although the pedia said 15. In 1.10 both pedia and python say 15... but 15 is really TOO much for RAND. I wouldn't go beyond 7 on large maps.

And speaking of this, UHVs that regard distance from palace, like the Russian, English, Portuguese, Dutch etc really need to be scaled to the map dimension. I had one game on a large map where I founded cities on the eastern american coast as England which didn't count towards the UHV because too near to England.

I completely agree with that. Trying for the distance-related UHVs on the Standard size map is pretty much impossible as it stands.

I know it will never happen, but I'd like to play the Celts. Don't know what the UHV would be... maybe holding off the English and not starving to death before 1900?
