Resolution with Windows 10

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but I figured I'd post my fix just in case it could help another.

I recently reinstalled 3, but could not get it to display correctly. I kept seeing the "edit conquests.ini with KeepRes=1" but that didn't work for me. I tried different compatibility modes, different drivers, even bought the game again via steam...all to no avail.

What finally worked (for me) was Right Click-->Properties-->Compatibility-->check "Disable display scale on high DPI setting." And, in worked great. It's not widescreen, but everything's the right size and clean looking, even with KeepRes set to 0.

Anyway, if anyone else is having issues with the display, and editing the .ini file isn't resolving it, try checking this box.

talmor, interesting.

I just upgraded my computer to Windows 10 yesterday, I might have tried your method if I still had problems today.

The only problem I had was with the display.

I was running 1280x768 with Windows 8.1 and found that I had to change the resolution to 1360x768 because it was cutting off the sides, wasn't filling the screen.

Works great, every thing looks and runs good.

BTW, 1360x768 is what I use on my desk top, so I have keepres=1 in my init file.
