108. I used to think that unique buildings are not transferred across Civiliztions, but now I know I am wrong. The English workshop is directly converted to Iroquois Longhouse. That's... useless, since there is no production bonus in Jungle.
109. I was puzzled that the AI was not building even their favorite the Great Library yet. So I decided to give it a shot in the capital.
110. Happiness was getting low, so I also bought a Colosseum there. Money is not really a concern since the Empire team again donated all their cash to me in the next peace period.
111. There is another English city Nottingham to the southeast. Nothing really interesting here, so this city is scheduled for demolition - immediately.
112. That's the end of Elizabeth's shortened advantage in the Amazon. Quite an underachievement.
113. Since my units travel very slowly in the jungles, I may as well sign a peace treaty with the Empire team - now down to only 2 members. Naturally I am aiming for Washington next. What an underdeveloped capital. Throughout all my Civ5 experiences so far, I have not seen such an under-developed AI capital on Deity. Where does your food bonus go?
114. I still had the largest army in the game! With my catapults arriving, there is now little doubt that I will bulldoze the rest of them.
115. Saved enough cash to directly purchase a University. I can start accumulating Great Scientist points at a very good rate with it.
116. With 8 CS allies, I still receive a decent, but not very decent, dose of research contribution from them that makes up about 31% of my total research. I didn't bother to buy Rio de Janeiro because they have not founded their city yet. 0 population = 0 research. I would still get their Food, though. I wonder where it harvest the food from?
And my catapults have arrived! I split my army into two to be able to surround Washington a little better when the next war starts - right now!
117. There are Irons scattered around Washington's territory, but strangely, he managed to miss all of them with all his 6-7 cities. He had 0 Iron! That was a huge screw-up for Washington. A fully promoted Longswordsman easily mauled down a vanilla Pikeman.
118. That was the end of Washington. So quick that I can't believe how it easy it is when the AI does not have Iron, and can't get it from City States since every one of them is their sworn enemy.
119. My scout was wondering around and found a captured Settler. I guess that's one of the City States that failed to spawn. I really feel sorry for... for the game, which failed to properly spawn them. I hope future patches will improve the spawning mechanism. Sometimes, I even see all Civs and CSs crowded together like Antarctica Emperor Penguins. How is that ever justified?!
120. Surrounded New York! Washington's poor soldiers have been killed off, so it was still a breeze.
Only one capital remains! Another peace treaty time.
121. Activated Cultural Diplomacy policy. I got +12 Happiness from the policy alone. That's pretty good!
122. And to my surprise I actually completed the Great Library! I feel the AIs are really messed up in this game.
123. With the free tech from Great Library and the free G-Sci from Procelain Tower, I am able to get Rifling. Turn 285 is about Turn 95 in standard speed - that speed would be unthinkable. It is all due to the speedy expansion of Marathon.
124. I am selling my resources to Napoleon for the last time. He was so poor and I had so many surplus resources. I could easily extract 5000 gold from him. But he only had 97...
125. The final war begins! My Rifleman and Trebuchet closed in on Paris and... there was nobody defending it! I can't believe my eyes! What is Napoleon thinking? Isn't he always have the largest army walking the earth? (And then I again noticed that even Napoleon does not have Iron. Poor him.) Is Napoleon here to play a peaceful cultural game or what?!
126. So I ended his pain as quickly as possible. That's it!
127. The AIs were so disappointing in this game! They deserve to be kicked back to Europe.
128. Final score.
129. Last picture. Washington actually had started his expansion, and Napoleon is kinda cornered and limited to just 4 cities. As the game ended early on Marathon, Iron played a huge role. And the Empire team was unfortunate enough that every one of them lacked this single critical resource, and failed to claim any when they realize they do not have it.
After this game, I felt that the 1 vs. N game is more adequately carried out on Standard Speed, where the AIs usually function better and pose some challenge. The resulting game is this.
