Return To Our Roots: The Way it Was

Pharaoh Menesenes I of Lower Egypt looked out upon his lone city of Heliopolis. His people had been a content people until the Egyptians from up the river had shown themselves. Now, all he heard from his citizens were complaints. The Lower Egyptians were beginning to lose their sense of national pride.

The Pharaoh looked destitute. Suddenly, as if given by the heavens, he discovered an idea to restore pride to his people. He would conquer the Nubians, their neighbors to the south.

Menesenes smiled. Not only would this restore the spirits of his people, but it would also ensure them as a force to be reckoned with.

However, the Pharaoh knew that fighting was not always the answer. Therefore, he would try to maintain friendly relations with Upper Egypt, sending commodities to trade so that his people would prosper. Perhaps prosperity would even increase the people's desire to join the glorious armies of their mother country. (OOC: Upgrade economy).
