returning barnaxus~

And all the while it's still trying to grab your face. That's at least a -2 modifier to your attack rolls right there, not to mention the one's from using an unfamiliar weapon.

Not to be too technical, but if its a severed zombie arm it wouldn't be able to move on its own. Given its not the most effective weapon to use, but at least your not trying to fight them with only your own arms.

Anyway my point is that the pieces of Barnaxus should still be useful to anyone who owns them even if the Luchirp are wiped out.

Why? Honestly I think it is just an unnecessary complication.

Pieces of Barnaxus were added to allow the Luchuirp to rebuild their hero, as they pretty much depend on him.

Reward for owning his parts is that you killed their hero and weakened their golems, and they will remain weak as long as you hold his parts.

Not everything needs to be flashy. There is no real flavor, function, design need or fun in giving pieces some lame bonus. Come on, tossing Barnaxus head around to get report?

I'm thinking the pieces should just slow down the unit carry them and make it less likely to defend.

I also think that the rebuilt Barnaxus should get the free promotions from the UBs in the city where he is rebuilt.

Your opinion is that there is no fun. Others may disagree with that. There are plenty of heros in the game who give the killer a bonus. Hyborem gives the Gela, Donal the empty bier, etc. This is perfectly flavorful and fun, IMO.

yep, agreed. some minor bonus like other killed heroes would be nice, and the "luchuirp can see where the pieces are" thingy is good as well. otherwise it might be too easy to hide those pieces away... and by the way mounting a war expedition to retrieve barnaxus would be lots of fun :D

If I lost Barnaxus to somebody, I would go on a crusade against them. Golems stomping through their lands, wiping out everything. A complete eradication of a civilization no less. And I get the pieces back.

Something like less War Weariness from going to war with the civ which killed Barnaxus until you rebuild it would be indeed really flavourful and fun.

How about dumping the pieces to a museum if Luchuirp are dead. Perhaps just a little culture for a city, 1 or 2 per turn. Works like dragon's horde for moving purposes. By the way, should it not be renamed dragon's hoard.

I think it was corrected to "Dragon's Hoard" in the game text a while ago.
