Hey guys, I'm making a mod all about America, starting with the revolution, leading up to the war of 1812, the civil war, conflicts with the natives, WWI, and WWII, and everything in between then and now. But here is my question, in the civil war time frame, I'm having difficulty making the confederate states spawn, and then own all of the southern cites. I've looked at several mods, but I can't seem to make sense out of them.

any help is greatly appriciated :D

I presume that you have all the different Civs in order in regard to art and XML and have set them up in the WBS (World Builder Save)? The easy way of doing it would probably be not give those Civs any units or cities from start. They would probably not be alive then.

Once you want them to spawn, simply create some units for them and the Civ should be activated by the game engine. Then its just a matter of changing owners of the cities and spawning additional units.

Have you considered using Rhye's and Fall of Civilization as a basis for your mod? Then you could use the Independent minor Civ as the Confederates. The mod already features a American spawn at 1775 and I've also made a scenario event scripting tool for this sort of thing, so there would not be any immediate need to learn proper programming. But you'd still need to create a new WBS file so that you don't have to wait up to an hour for the Americans to spawn, and to make sure that the rest of the scenario is historically accurate.
