RFC: BtS Bug Reports

In past games with the Japanese I have also found that they have an impossible time remaining stable.

Yeah, Japan is the nation most likely to collapse in my games.

any news about the Great Library ? Has it been fixed in the next RFC patch (on hold) ?

also, culture bonuses for buildings and wonders don't appear in the city screen (for buidlings not yet built)

That has already been reported as a BTS bug (not Rhyes) a couple of times.

playing BtS 1.08 (1.13 patch) the dawn of man countdown does not seem to be working correctly. Used the 600ad start for Khmer.

Only saw "waiting for other civilizations" until it was my turn.

BTS 3.13 RFC 1.09 playing as Rome, I was trying to get to 1400 AD, but a couple of turns after I lost Athenai to independents (France and Spain already took most of my empire), I was collapsing due to bad economy, but then I got a Python error. The message was that my empire was going into Civil War, but nothing happened.

Now, I don't know this mod very well, but I think I was actually losing at that point. I have attached the savegame-file, but it's a couple of turn after it.

I was expecting to be able to load an autosave before the event, but I found out that there was none. Next time I'll make a screenshot of the Python error. From my memory it had something to do with killCiv in RFCUtils.py

BTS 3.13 RFC 1.09 playing as Egypt.

When playing as another civ (pre-Persia), Shushan still does not flip to them when they spawn. This has happened with me as both India (three times) and Babylon (once), now. If I play a post-Persian game (as a later spawn), though, Shushan does flip, at least according to the "history of the world" when I retire.

you should try to provide a save that reproduces the bug, since I'm not experiencing it

I will, after work. Babylon was only once; it hasn't happened since, but my Indian games have been pretty much a given.

This isn't a bug really but when I play as the Americans and build a city in Hawaii, the city name isn't Honolulu or anything but Portland. : /

But that would be a good easteregg to Lost (the tv series... ;) (one episode is named "not in portland" and the show is shot on hawaii - I know, I'm a series freak, sorry ;)).

Three bugs:

1. No gifting/trading bug: happens in about 1/4 of the games I've played as European civs, normally in the first few turns. You select an item (such as gold, tech, etc. to gift or trade to another player and the item does not appear on the list of items on your side, nor do the gift, trade, etc. choices pop up-the menu is stuck on "talk about something else", never mind, goodbye.

This can be pretty rough, since as a European civ I normally try to butter up other European civs early on to encourage peace.

2. Mercenaries bug: (noted in another thread but unknown if Rhye knows about it): Mercenaries will appear in your available for hire area, but with their hire and information buttons missing, so they can't be hired. Also, mercenaries often have long scripts as part of their name (which might be why the hire button doesn't show up).

3. Occaisionally (approx. one in five games) scrolling the map or clicking the mercenaries button will cause a crash to desktop.

All these are on the latest bts and rfc versions, both with the unlocked scenarios and normal. The next time one of them happens I'll try to get more documentation on it.

That said, this is a great mod. I still play it a lot more than regular bts, which says a lot for the great work Rhye has done with it.
