RFC Classical World

lately I've been really focused on the first bunch of civs and the new features I've added, so the Byzantines haven't been looked at in a while but Iwill try to add some more barbs for them soon.

I think the Mauryans golden age issue is fixed.

the bribing and hiring of sea barbarians has been changed so that the popup only appears if you have a coastal city and the barbs are adjacent to it.

congratualtions on getting 2 of 3. was that with the new edicts that give piety?

The empire goal was rather easy now. I could afford losing an elephant at the start. Frankly, I did not count how many edicts I built until 200BC but I am sure it was less than 10. Piety was constantly diminishing, but building the edicts and committing massacres I could keep it around 40.

Saba UHV3 is still not ok. The objective states 10000 gold in 100Ad while the tracker checks for 15000. What should it be? I had 11000 in AD with science at 0% almost the entire time. About 13000 could have been possible had I sent my GMs to missions instead of settling them for growth.

OK.

You also seem to have flipped around some resources in Arabia and moved UHV1 back in time. That was not necessary. The resource placement as it is makes it perfectly possible to have 3 cities by 150BC.

I moved the resources so the capital would not be 1 tile too far for either of the 2 seafood. it just seemed to be asking people to move the capital. on the other hand I want the Sabeans to need to trade for health resources to make settlers fast enough. with the crab the capital goes unhealthy at 3, which I think is ok. I can always make the goal 4 cities if 3 is easy.

titles suggestion !

Pharaoh
requires :
*control Libya, Upper Egypt ,Lower Egypt (you should separate Egypt imo) and Judea
*Have your capital in Egypt

effects :
* +1 happy in every city
* -15% :hammers: cost for World Wonders
* +10 piety

The Great

requires :
*Control Alexander's Empire
*have your capital in Babylon

effects :
*+20 Stability
*+1 :traderoute: per city

Augustus
requires :
*Control Trajan's Empire
*Have your capital in Rome

effects :
*+20 stability (pax romana)
*+1 :traderoute: per city

i may come up to some other titles aswell :p

The Great
Alexander the Great wasn't the only leader in history that had that title.
I suggest to give it to the leader who has the largest empire.
I suggest to add this title:

Huangdi (Emperor of China)
requires:
*control more than 50% of China
*have your capital in China
effects:
*+1 happiness in all cities
*starts a golden age

Indeed he isn't the only one to be called "Great" but he is the only great for the period this mod is about !

Also a shogun title might be cool

Indeed he isn't the only one to be called "Great" but he is the only great for the period this mod is about !
Wrong!
Shapur I and II the Great, Ashoka the Great, Constantine the Great, Trajan the Great, Tigranes the Great, Chandragupta II the Great, Justinian the Great, Theodoric the Great, Charles the Great, Gwanggaeto the Great, Herod the Great, Kanishka the Great...
Just to name a few and they are all in this mod's time period

Each one of them for different reasons though, you can't compare Theodoric's kingdom with Alexander's empire .. Anyway I suggested a title to give a bonus to whoever controls Alexander's empire!

Various empires were larger and greater than the Alexandrian Empire
Just to name a few:Roman Empire under Trajan, Tang Empire under Taizong, Sassanid Empire under Khosrau II, Umayyad Empire under Al-Walid I...

Trajan didn't conquer himself all that area, most of the empire was conquered by others, he just pushed the borders a little bit. The same goes for Khosrau II.

I have little or no knowledge about the two other empires you mention.

What Alexander did, was to conquer all persian empire himself and invade India. He can only be compared with Genghis Khan, Timur etc

Again, I am not saying Alexander was THE greatest, i just suggest a title :)

I still suggest to give the title to the leader who has the largest empire.

I don't think that's fair. It will probably the Romans, a Persian civ or a Chinese civ all the time. (or the human player) It's kind of an extra bonus for them.

I conquered Halin (city in Burma) three times as the Maurya, but there always spawn two units on the same tile every turn which prevents me from conquering it!
PS:My units magically disappear after this happens

Tibet is still one of the hardest civs to play and they should start with monarchy.
