That's a nice one.

About Armenian UHV2: I think Cappadocia needs to be added to the provinces they need to control. Cappadocia would also need to be in Armenia's normal areas then. Certainly if Mesopotamia is in Armenia's stable area but Cappadocia is not

Edit: went through a few spawns. Rome is once more experiencing issues conquering anything beyond Athens, Pella and Carthage itself. Parthians are also a pretty weak presence. While Parthia is supposed to be the "rock" to Rome's "hard place", crushing anything in between (unless the successors are doing exceptionally well, which is permissible), I've Parthia be unable to conquer Mesopotamia from Seleucids who've had Syria taken from them prior!

Edit2: another idea for "agricultural innovations" that doesn't involve crazy food bonuses: make granaries available with Agrarianism tech instead of at start. Sure, granaries have existed since agriculture began, but we've got to fix the agriculture problem somehow. Perhaps under the logic that it's a better run system of grain storage, etc...

Edit3: switched to Christianity at as Armenia. Faith started at blessed. It is supposed to reset to 50 (or something) no?

Edit4: fatal glitch 91 AD, as Armenia, during a golden age, I collapse fully (including my capital) and lose the game.

do you have a save from before the collapse?

and I'm still looking for a save with the "unidentified C++ exception"

the check occurred because the Antigonids declared war on you. you died because I forgot the check that lets the human player keep his capital.

did your stability reset to stable at the start of the golden age?

you can play on now after you update. all you have to do is hold off Antigonus for 10 turns and you've won.

you cannot suffer a negative stability check if you are in a golden age or in anarchy (the anarchy one is to prevent chain reaction snowballing checks) with the exception of the check that occurs when you start a civics or religion change.

Actually I won anyway. I had mitigated the crisis by giving away Syria to various powers.

Here's the issue, broken down:

-I got my golden age.
-Used it to switch civics without anarchy.
-Switched to Christianity. This did cause anarchy, driving me to collapsing. (The save I gave you was the turn after that anarchy.)

It's the revolts caused by my switch to Christianity, which I didn't expect during a golden age, which put me in a lot of trouble.

Hello srpt.

i discovered your modmod last week. good work and ideas!

after i try some games with different civs here my thoughts/questions:

- after the latest svn update the celtics bugged. i started the first round with a settler in siberia, next round i got lutetia as capitol. the province germania has no single cityname. the popular roman cities in germania like cologne are in the gaul province.
the same siberia bug with the dacian civ.

- the vietnam civ goes well. the uhv goals was no problem.

- meroe civ > gold ressorce not reachable. and is it intend to colonize an arabian cityspot for the 5th gold?

- saba civ > boring and no fun. also their unique building funduq can't be build ^^

That's because they're on the west bank of the Rhine, which is part of Gaul here.

the same siberia bug with the dacian civ.

When that happened to me, restarting the game worked.

- meroe civ > gold ressorce not reachable. and is it intend to colonize an arabian cityspot for the 5th gold?

That's a bug (look a little bit back), srpt should be coming around to fix it soon.

- saba civ > boring and no fun. also their unique building funduq can't be build ^^

I'm pretty sure that funduq is a placeholder and not actually supposed to be their UB... but srpt would probably have a better answer.

That's because they're on the west bank of the Rhine, which is part of Gaul here.

Then maybe reduce the size of the province Gaul a bit. Mogontiacum (Mainz) was the roman governor seat of germana superior and Cologne of germania interferior.

When that happened to me, restarting the game worked.

This bug comes now at every game start with the celtic or dacian. :/

The iron near Meroe is also bugged. :)

SVN version

I don't have any trouble with the Celts or Dacians. try updating again I guess.

Cappadocia added to the Armenian conquest goal.

copper near Axum changed to gold. meant to do that before.

the resources in Nubia should all work

I will move the Gaul/Germania border. is 1 tile west enough?

the Sabean UB is now a cheaper Fairground replacement with +25% trade route yield. I know they are not very exiting. they may or may not be playable in the final version.

fixed a bug in the stability check that was preventing civs from collapsing when they lose control of their core

So, did you intentionally make it impossible to build cottages on all tiles adjacent to a city?
If so:
Isn't that a little bit too much? Wasn't it enough to prohibit cottages adjacent to other cottages?
I'm just saying that that is probably a little too much restriction.

EDIT
Also: I got bored, so I decided to see how that secret diplomacy worked.

I think I fixed the secret diplomacy.

yes the cottage thing is intentional. I think there is still room for lots of them.

I guess its OK then. Cottages are kind of OP considering you get production
and commerce. It might encourage building a few workshops.

Which is the latest SVN revision number? I am still using old SVN link, which works fine, by the way...
