RFC Europe Files

I've edited the RFCE Colonies text file to include the text for the West India Company, fixed some spelling and grammar and added a mention of timber to Quebec and New England. Please check that I've done it correctly and upload it to sourceforge at your leisure.:)

I sent it to sourceforge. But Quebec and New England don't have timber. Should have have 1 fish, 1 fur and 1 timber each? NE has 2 fish and 1 fur right now. Quebec has 1fish and 2 fur. Or should I give those 2 fish/fur and 1 timber?

It was decided in the Buildings thread that they were an important source of timber. So you could make it one of each three, as you say. OK.

Done.:woohoo:

Hi. I'm back alive again.

When is the next test version due? I have to still put the rest of the wonders' buttons and movies (have most of them already on my pc) and replace the Escorial building (I think the Tower of London one is also duplicated).

All Texts I have will be included in the next version. I (allmost) immediately update to sourgeforge when I have included the Text. So everything will be updated automatically.

This is a good question. I'm quite busy this week, but will have some time next week. Can people plan to have stuff together by Nov. 14th? We need St. Lucifer's new map, and I'd certainly like to get dynamic names in if 3Miro has time to rewrite that code.

I can do it by then. I'll try to get it in over the weekend.

there's no way i can download the alpha version 8. tried about 100 times already, rapidshare sucks

I actually prefer rapidshare over most other sites... But I guess uploading the file to another site like megaupload.com is a good idea, I'll try it right away.
Well it says it's gonna take 4 hours, but I gotta get to sleep early and it'll probably take more than that, so before I go to bed I'll start the upload and I'll post here again tomorrow morning, it should be done by then.

You could actually try to download the file form sourceforge given you have Tortoise SVN

I don't know why some people are having problems with rapidshare. OK, sourceforge is a lot quicker I admit. But I've just done a test and downloaded Alpha8 from both. sourceforge took almost 4 minutes while with rapidshare it took over 13 minutes, longer but hardly impossible. Maybe it really depends on how fast your computer is, if other people are getting longer download times, or can't download at all. Who knows?

Well, rapidshare has some 'overload' problems. While the clear download time is the same, it will tike some time to get you to download the file, because...according to it, many users are currently downloading files, plz try later , or you can become a premium user, who do not experience any such problems and download in superduperwow speed. Of course, this comes to a cost. I may sound harsh, but IMHO they want to make life harsh on free users and get some premium ones.

OK I tried twice to upload the file to megaupload but I just get a message saying something like "not defined", can anyone else try it? It's really easy just takes a while.

As promised in the Small Bugs thread, I've edited the GP Names folder so that none of the Great Generals correspond to any possible leaderheads. No more "Gustavus Adolphus has died in combat" or whatever. Where possible I've changed the names to another of the same nationality or of similiar historic importance. Here is the revised file if you can check it and commit it to sourceforge. (I'd do it but I don't know how. Sorry.)

EDIT. Revised again and resubmitted below.

I've uploaded to the SVN all the wonders graphics that the last alpha version lacked.

But just to be safe I haven't screwed up or someone overwrites those changes, here they are also:

http://www.mediafire.com/?clz1mzmz3fe

I changed three XML files of the current revision from this afternoon.

Hope it's all OK. It's the first time I've used a SVN.

Maybe you (or Sedna?) could explain how you do that. I've looked but I can't figure it out.
