RFC Europe Wonders

I thought so and basically agree but if I remember right someone once mentioned that a wonder to push stability would be great and when I saw the cenotaph and read in my guide about what it represents it came to my mind again. Just an idea

We already have a stability boosting wonder
And actually it's Austrian, the Stephansdom ;)

When I was playing Austria it allways was allready built by the start or almost afterwards :wallbash: (I allready thought of complaining here ;) ) and so I never realized it´s exact effects. I need to check them. Embarassing I didn´t allready

No prob :)
Maybe it should be moved a little later in the tech tree

How is that a wonder?
Plymouth docks? Or you meant Plymouth itself?
Sorry, but it doesn't qualify as a wonder in my judgement

Just the docks. It was a response to the post directly above looking for a suitable name. Whether or not it counts as a wonder is of course another matter.

Another option I really liked is the Santa Katarina Monastery: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Catherine's_Monastery
Early orthodox religious wonder, from an unused geographic area, with relations to judaism as well
Benefits could be: spreads orthodoxy up to 5-6 cities on the map when built
Could be great for the Byzantines and the Bulgarians in a couple situations, or just generally spreading orthodoxy early in the game
Alternatively, it could provide a relic

I think relics should be more aviable. Maybe it's a good idea if every religion has a wonder that produces 1-3 relic resources, so every religion has access to relics.

But I think relics should be untradable then. It looks weird if a catholic civ imports relics from an islamic civ.

"Ransoming" a captured christian relic?

Edit: I had a suggestion earlier that all holy cities (building provided) have a relic!

For Orthodoxy just two other ideas:

The monasteries of Meteora

Benefits could be: spreads orthodoxy up to 5-6 cities on the map when built
what about the slavic mission of Kyrill and Method. Not a building but the Magna Charta and the Golden Bull aren´t as well!

Is there a wonder that provides extra faith when spreading or building religious stuff? It would be really nice.
BTW in my last game when i was playing as the cordobans i couldn't see the wpnders that are necessary for the UHV.

Could you have missed that they all start with "The"? The Alhambra, The Gardens of Al-andalus?

That's 39 actual wonders
It's not that much
For example DoC adds around 25 new wonders to vanilla RFC (for a total around 60)

I plan to reduce most wonders effects (some of them are overpowered atm)
Also to add a couple more prerequsities and build restrictions (religion and civic in most cases)

This means there is more than enough place for new wonders
I'm not against adding even up to 10 new wonders, if we have good reasons and bonuses for it

The areas we lack the most are orthodox and naval wonders
I would also like to see another wonder for Lithuania, the Ottomans and Bulgaria
Oh and some type of music-wonder

I bring up a couple wonders I like the most right now, let the conversation begin:
Venetian Arsenal
The Doumo (Florence) - now that we have great graphics it's a must have IMO
JS Bach Cathedral / Mozart Concertos
Paco di Ribeira - separated from Palacio de Pena
Torre del Oro
Kizil Kule (Ottoman)
Galata Tower (Genoa/Ottoman)
Gediminas Tower (Lithuania)
Boyana Church (Bulgaria)
Hilandar monastery / Rila monastery / Meteora monasteries
Saint Catherine monastery (Sinai)
Peterhof Palace
Mont Saint-Michel

I've been looking here if there were some nice bonus' for the wonders, and I thought these are appropriate for this mod. (That doesn't mean we have to use them all)

Religion
Cities with State religion construct buildings 20% faster/ state religion buildings are constructed 25% faster
Cities with State religion construct units 20% faster
1 less temple required to build a cathedral
Temples build with state religion spread

Units
-15% XP required for promotions
-50% upgrade costs for units
No limit for drafting/ can draft multiple times from same city (palacio de pena or paco ribeira)
Drafted units get the same amount of experience like normally constructed units
2 XP and 50% for naval units in all cities - Venetian Arsenal?

Corporation
Doubles corporation effects
-25% corporation maintenance in all cities
Executives will always succeed in buying a rival corporation out of a city
Free mobility promotion for executives
Increases the max amount of executives to 3

Culture
Converts 10% culture around conquered cities
Free theatre in every city, theatre provides +2 culture - Bach Cathedral?

Colony
Provides 2/3 random colony resources - Torre del Oro?
10% chance of starting a golden age when completing a colony

Technology
Grants first player technology benefits, even if he isn't the one that discovered the tech first
5% chance of starting a golden age when discovering a tech (if overpowered, it can be just 1-2 turns of golden age afterwards)

City
-10% costs for buildings present in capital for all cities
25% permanent defense bonus in all coastal cities - Kizil Kule?
Free commerce in all cities water tiles - Mont St. Michel? (reducing the amount of commerce for the Torre Belem)
1 food for water tiles in the city the wonder is build in - Mont St. Michel?

Vassal
Start golden age when capitulizing a rival/ start a golden age when a getting a vassal (both diplo and capitulizing)

If we make more wonders state religion dependent it is ok that they are somewhat OP since the same civ wont build them all! This also favors game difficulty since the player usually is a wonder w****.

Here are the bonuses I felt fitting from the list:

1 less temple required to build a cathedral
-50% upgrade costs for units
Executives will always succeed in buying a rival corporation out of a city
Free mobility promotion for executives
Increases the max amount of executives to 2
Free theatre in every city, theatre provides +[something, not culture]
1 food for water tiles in the city the wonder is build in

I don't think we should make too many wonders religion dependent. We had this before, but that ruined the game. I don't mind if some are religion dependent, but the majority shouldn't be.

Since I never tried that, how did it ruin the game? Just the fact that you couldnt build them?

IIRC, it was too restrictive. Most of the players said it wasn't a good feature.

We shouldn't go overboard on this
But a couple more religion restriction would work well - both for the players and for gameplay - if the wonders and their effects are chosen wisely
