RFCEurope 1.3

I want to know if there will be a new scenerio in RFCE, maybe 1200AD or 1250AD? It's very hard for Ottoman to attack Byzantine, while AI Byzantine plays from the beginning, if the game begins at 1200AD, it will be a little easier for Ottoman. Also, it costs a long time for waiting when play as Moskva and Dutch.

Yes, an 1200 AD scenario is planned for 1.4
This means, it will probably be up in the SVN in a couple weeks

@ Absinthe

If you are done with your changes, don't release 1.3 yet. I have some python updates I want to include. But I don't want to upload them yet to avoid interference.
(I got a lot of "if --> elif" changes and some other updates which should speed up the game a little bit)

Alright, I will wait with the release
My update should be up today

Revision 1126 is up, with lots of changes:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=13817010&postcount=24
I think I managed to fix most things reported in the last couple days/weeks
Feedback is really important (even if I don't answer to all of the posts) so keep up with it guys :)

Will leave a couple days for testing it out, and also for merijn to include those format changes
Then the release of 1.3 can come

i discovered to myself the RFCEmaps.py and browsed it....
its only funny: "-1","Ascalonia","Hierosolyma","Hierosolyma","Philadelphia","Philadelphia","-1","-1","-1"),
even might be historical, who knows....
but also killed all the oasis from the moroccan settle map. sadly warmaps was too much for me to understand.

All that because 1 east from codoba is not cordoba but jayyan :D :D

Warmaps are pretty simple actually. The higher the value, the more the AI wants to conquer that area.

Philadelphia is the old Greek name for Amman. (Current capital of Jordan) If you look more closely, you also see a Philadelphia in Turkey in the CNM.

I did spot a typo in the CNM because of this.

Yes. Thank you.

Yeah, I also think those are really imporant changes, especially the first one.
Was planning to do that for a long time, but some of the values were hidden in the .dll
(alright, not hidden :) but I was looking for it totally elsewhere :crazyeye:)

@Merijn
Ehh, I was uploading the leader FPK files, when you committed those 2 changes during the process :/
Sourceforge doesn't prohibit this? No warnings if there is an ongoing upload? This is unfortunate
Was already uploading for more than an hour, but will have to restart it from the beginning now.
Do you have any small changes you plan to make? If yes, please wait till all the fpk files are updated :)

I didn't get any warnings. I don't have any changes right now. So go ahead.

But what kind of error did you get? For some reasons, I get errors all the time when I try to upload FPK files. (Permission denied IIRC) The only way I can upload them is removing the old file and add the new file again.

The FPK files are from other mods, not RFCE.

Yeah, now I also have some access denied errors
But this is new for me, because of the last failed commit there are some unresolved things, I guess
I could easily upload the fpk files a couple weeks ago, and now everything was working perfectly until you started your commit while mine was uploading
So I guess you have a similar issue

My error:
Commit failed (details follow):
Can't open file '/svn/p/rfceurope/code/db/transactions/1148-y7.txn/next-ids'

So it's definitely connected to the thing that I already started 1148 once

It couldn't be that someone else was uploading at the same time when I got the error, as I am the only one with permission to commit.

Yeah, but I'm sure that's not the only way you can run into transaction errors with SVN.
I'm not a pro in this subject, I only ever encountered SVN during modding, so I can't really help you in this.

Our problems are somewhat different, I can't upload the already started fpk file separately.
Not even after deleting all the previous versions of the pak files

EDIT:
And I can upload the other fpk files, which wasn't uploading at that time

EDIT2:
Solved the issue, the last LH pak file is being uploaded right now

I have a question: why is a gap in the light cavalry chain?

i mean: skirmisher-MS/HA-gap here-pistolier-whatsoever....
ofc, we have ghazi and huszár, but only as a replacement of AL.
lancer str7 - HA str 5,
AL str10 - light cavalry with str 8 ???
knight 13-pistolier 12.

so i do miss these units from the game...is there some reason behind it or why?
