Chinese, Greek, Babylonian units all camped peacefully on desert hill in Iran. Why should Persia even spawn and disturb this harmony! :mischief:

In 3 years me playing PBEMs I never played same game 3 times in the same day! Kuddos guys!
 
Hey all can I be cheeky and request a pause in play for a few days? Need to do some diplo with someone that hasn't signed in for almost 2 weeks since I sent a message...

Carthage hasn't even spawned!

Then again, one of the first things I did in this game was making a secret pact with Persia, so I guess I can see where you're coming from. Chances are if you can't contact someone for weeks they won't be back just in time to take over their new civ, so maybe we should be looking for a replacement.
 
Lol very 'secret' pact in the discussion thread! It's been nearly 2 weeks since I sent him a message on here and his profile says that he hasn't been on the forum since then. He could just be on holiday though perhaps? It is the time of year. What do the others think?
 
Eh, we'll see once Carthage is scheduled to appear.

Tigranes already put 2 and 2 together and has been choking me for a while with what pitiful forces he can muster, and nobody else has an interest or the resources to do anything about it anyway.

In the other RFC game we play -- Rome's original player contacted me 4 months(!!!) ahead of the time with very detailed evil plan to steamroll everyone in the world. That includes you, academia, and Calanthian. He kept talking to me for four months only to leave right before the game and the very Roman civ that was suppose to be my best friend became my worst enemy overnight. With one bold move I could have been wiped away as Carthage because I left my land totally exposed while waiting for my "secret ally" to spawn (we even agreed to pretend to be bitter enemies). I never saw that guy around anymore. And Carthage was able to pull off that game alright so far. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. :p

Anyway this situation is completely different: India simply doesn't stand a chance against Persia, thus sucking up to them and becoming their trusted servant is the only way to survive.
 
Haha gutted! But to my earlier point - can I leave this another day or 2 to see if he does return? I'm hopeful that he will...

Which always bothered me, so unhistorical! If those Persians are Aryans it had to happen many years before actual Persian spawn. Before you have founded Hinduism :crazyeye:

Alas, RFC isn't perfect, the gutted MP version even less so. I have the distinct feeling that tech costs increase with every human controlled civ alive, which would explain why everything has become so hideously expensive for my Babylon in the other game. As India here I feel it too.
 
After 2 kills, Only 2 Warriors left to guard Indian civilization.
