homers. -> the techs flow is optimized for Emperor level. Lower levels will cause slower science, higher levels faster science

Ahhh Gotcha!! Thanks Rhye!!!

Hi, Rhye!
Well, yes and no - I am from Hungary but not from Debrecen... :)
I live in Budapest, the capital, at the Danube.
Debrecen is the main city of the eastern part of the country.
Actually it was sort of capital for a very short time in 1848-49,
when we were fighting to be free of the Habsburgs...

Quick Question:
If I changed some of the Civ traits in the editor for the random .biq, will is seriously undermine balance? Say I would like to take france from Agr and Exp to Com and Agr would that cause serious problems (aslong as they only have 2 traits)?
Thanks!

@Rhye: I was wondering, how exactly did you manage to reduce distance corruption in the mod? Is it just with the optimal number of city?

@Rhymes: If you want to do it, all you have to do is open the editor, go to the Difficulties page, and reduce corruption for each difficulty level. Rhye has it set to 40% or something, which makes everything less corrupt at long range. However, I think the OCN is much higher in C3C, and Rhye has that set to 10.

Homer, I doubt it matters much at all. We didnt bother too much with the random map, so I have a feeling any changes you make will probably be for the best.

WOO HOO NO MORE! I had my last high school exam EVER today (calc, it sucked more than a lot ;p) and I fly home tomorrow! From here on out its basically free time till summer haha!

SO:

Expect some MAJOR updates on my odessy within the next week. I am going to do my best to have the first playtest out within the next week (two at the outside) and I am counting on you kids to tell me everything I did wrong ;p

If anyone is feeling really bored and wants to maybe look up some civlopedia entries, that would be superfantabulous! ;p

In random maps - no problem. Just remember that everybody has the religious trait in the editor: every civ has 3 traits except religious ones (which instead have religious+the other one+"religious trait" starting tech.

In earth map is the same, except for the balancement that may change in particular changing the agricultural.

I saw Blas's choices for RMC1 civs (aftera long riddle I was about to lose :) ) and bonus points. Interesting ;)

Rhymes -> Aeon's answered pretty well

Aeon-> Great! Now I want to see a new avatar every day!

Ciao Rhye.
Ieri stavo giocando con la tua ultima espansione (part II), quando ad un tratto mi compare: "file not found"
Art\Units\Galleass\...\Frigate\FrigateFidget.wav
Come faccio a risolvere sto casino?!

sembra tutto a posto, la voce

FIDGET=..\Frigate\FrigateFidget.wav

Indeed! Its gonna be very intresting to see what strategies players use. There are so many possibilities. I've been trying to figure out the best route but its almost impossible to tell..... and I wont post to much spoilers :mischief:

I think I'll publish the general details of the game tonight, and open up the event tomorrow...
Just to be sure, it's impossible to open a save without the .biq that it was made in, right?

Argh.
Connect to ICQ within the next half hour or sometime tomorrow afternoon, I want to discuss something important about the RMC with you.

Okay, I hereby announce the final outline for RMC1!

RMC1: Arabian Conquests
The contestants will play as the Arabs, with three different routes of conquest comprising their goals. Players will choose between: the African route, which will lead them to complete and total dominance of Africa; the European Route, which will take the Arabian armies through all of Europe; and finally, the Eastern Route, which will have the player conquering everything from Babylon and eastwards until China and even Japan.
Additionally, there will be many different bonuses, for colonization, for science, for culture, and for other things, allowing players to play peacefully and still get a high score.

I will release the detailed breakdown of the goals and bonuses, along with the starting save and rules, tomorrow evening. The game will last exactly four weeks.
