Just because I know this: you CAN open a .sav WITHOUT the .biq it was created with. If you think about how GOTM works, then it makes sense that it does not need it.

EDIT: well, looks like Ill wait till the next RMC... i dont think i could sit down and conquer for that long... might drive me bonkers! ;p
 
why does it last 4 weeks? If it were 3 weeks, you could have more time to check the saves and prepare the new MC for the 1st or the early April. And considering that this one's in late...with 4 weeks you would end up in mid April.
 
It will end April 3rd. RMC2 will end may 1st, and from then on it will go by month and not by week.
I'll start preparing RMC2 in a couple weeks (hopefully with help from Rhymes and possibly some others), we'll have more time to test the feasability of the goals we set this time. It will be ready by the time RMC1 ends. We'll start judging submissions sometime late this month, and we'll announce winners and awards sometime in early April.

Ho fatto come hai detto tu, (prima sbagliavo la cartella dove mettere il file wav), e adesso funziona tutto ok!
 
I'm tired and I wanna get some sleep, so without further ado, I present to you RMC1!
The save (plus the scripts file that will allow you to see the rules and score breakdown whenever you press the little I button at the bottom-right of the screen) is available here.
The rules/score thing is way too big to fit in one screen, so for now players will have to manually scroll, but in a day or two we'll release a fix that makes it more workable.
I'd like to thank Rhymes for the help with preparing this game.

**RULES:
-Do not cheat in any way (including use of cheaty graphics and of edited .biq or .sav files)
-Do not reload your game again and again to get better RNG results
Anyone doing one of the above will be banned from the RMC for good.
Contestants can send their submission (one submission only for each contestant!) to rmc.sub@gmail.com. Each submission must be a .zip, .ace, or .rar archive including saves from exactly the following dates (the checkpoints): 0AD; 500AD; 1500AD; 2000AD; and a save immediately after victory. (If victory is achieved before a checkpoint, that checkpoint is, of course, not required.)
If you require assistance with turning your saves into an archive, we will be glad to help you in the mod's thread at CFC.
Submissions missing pre-victory checkpoints, submissions from more than one game, or submissions that have evidence of cheating, will be disregarded and will not recieve a score or any award.
The latest date for submissions is April 3rd (according to GMT.) Any submissions sent in after this date will be deleted and disregarded.
The title of the submission email must be:

*COLONIZATION BONUSES*
[A city qualifies as a colony only if it is connected to the capital, but does not have a land route to it through neutral or Arab territory. A city on a continent mostly in Arab control does not qualify as a colony.]
-Colony cities in South America at end of game = 10pts per colony, max bonus of 30pts
-Colony cities in North America at end of game = 15pts per colony, max bonus of 60pts
-Colony cities in Australia at end of game = 5pts per colony, max bonus of 20pts
-Colony cities on ocean islands (island of up to three tiles surrounded by ocean) and in Polynesia and the Philippines at end of game = 5pts per colony, max bonus of 50pts

Which version of RocX will this work with?
 
Hi, everyone!

I am still working on the standard size version of RoX,
and I experiment with new ideas concerning wonders.

I would like to see opinions about it, can you,
who play RoX (and maybe have/had a look at Clashing of Empires),
take a minute to read my concepts in the thread you find in my signature?

Thanks for all the work. Looks interesting; I'll start today.

Two clarification questions:

For the colonisation bonuses, what is the status of Madagascar? (part of Africa? part of Polynesia? or if not, then I'm correct to assume that there are no bonuses for cities on Madagascar?)

Where does Europe begin? Since there is a +250 bonus (for the African route) for not having cities in Europe, and Europe isn't really a continent, we need to know. (specifically, what about the Caucasus? north shore of Caspian sea?)
 
I have some problems trying to start the RMC1 save. Is there something i have to pay attention for? RoC and RoX are running both fine.
 
I apologize for my deayed responses, I went to sleep just after I posted the starting save, and I had school until just an hour ago...

@Barak: It will definately work with RoX 1.23 installed. Slightly older versions may still work, and they may not. If all you have is RoC it will definately not work.
@Danger Bird: I consider Madagascar a part of Africa. I just made this to illustrate borders between Asia and Europe (and Africa). If something is directly on the line, the player will get the benefit of the doubt. I know the border may be a bit off compared to reality, but it's a border that's easy to remember as it's completely based on geography
@Blackbeard: If you've unzipped the archive in the /Conquests/ directory and did it so the directory structure is preserved, there should be no problem, as long as you have RoX 1.23 installed and working.
If it's still not working, please post whatever info you can about the problem and i'll try and help you asap.
 
Now it works. My archives were all in ..../Conquests/Counquests and i removed them to ..../Conquest/Scenarios.
 
Blas, in the conditions for RMC1, you mention control of all resources - do you mean mustangs as well? and maize, rice?
 
I don't mean bonus resources, I mean strategic resources.
So Mustangs are included, Maize and Rice are not.
 
Thanks Blas. I had been running 1.21, but updated prior to starting RMC1. Should be fun, not used to playing with vicotrty conditions like this.
