Is there a master list of civs that still need to be worked on? Also, is there an excel file with the map? I'd rather just input the names into a cell than make signs with the WB.

I can't seem to connect to the excel map. Can you use the settler map i've
made on Worldbuilder? (see map thread).
I've also began work on the Bulgaria civ. What do you think? (see discusssion thread)

I changed the shortcut to zipped file. Will that open?

Also, I tried to save my changes to the excel map but when I checked back
all the squares I did had nothing on them when i right-clicked. That's 4 hours
wasted on the Balkans and Greece I guess. I have the save as a document
file but I don't know how to get it to you.

I've gotten most of Russia from the Crimea to Moscow. Still need to go more to the west.

Caffa and Theodosia are two names for the same city, on the east coast of the Crimean peninsula.

Hi! I was lurking on this forum for quite a while, but after I read about this project, I became so interested that I registered to give a hand
As I am a "mix" of Czech, Polish, Slovak and Hungarian nationalities, I am fairly interested in all these civs
I am willing to make the polish settler map, but I have just 2 questions:

1. How far should the map go? I can make it from Odra river to Kiev and from Baltic states to Bohemia
2. Can I use polish characters like ł or ń?

1. Any areas Poland occupied during the period we are covering... which I can't remember :S Medieval anyway.
2. Yes. But you should represent any non-Latin characters with html entity codes.

I can not open the 301 file. With OpenOffice it errors out and with Excel proper it only displays the first 13 rows of information.

EDIT: Re-downloaded it today and it opens fine.

I've done the Bulgarian settler map to about 3 squares North of the Danube as Bolhorod so I must be about touching your southern squares. What's missing is the Hungarian spawn area to the north of Beograd and east to the Black sea.

Sounds good - if you'd start on Poland, that would be great. I might actually extend the map further west, if there are cities with dual names - Germany isn't always going to win that war.

I don't think we have anyone on Hungary yet, either.

I don't know about the German cities, but I did the French ones. I don't think that anyone is doing north Africa.

We don't have a working tech tree yet, no. If you've got something in mind, that would be great - think expansionist on this, as we're going to have to cut things off around the industrial revolution. I'm thinking we're going to need at least 20-25 new techs, and to split or redefine some existing ones.

Since everyone wants to do a settler map, I decided to make a list of everyone who is doing something:
Spain: Finished
France: I did one, but don’t know if someone did one before me
Great Britan: Talkie_Toaster
Balkans: Jessiecat
Russia: ijnavy
Poland: (Odra river to Kiev and from Baltic states to Bohemia): Akhera
Scandinavia: -W- and Hitti-Litti
I don't know of any completed settler maps except for Spain.

Please be careful with your terminology. A settler map is completely different from a city names map.

I have about 60 techs in mind that I want to add. I was originally shooting for 120ish so we could do a unique redesign of the tech tree, but that was just a bit too much work.
