Inquis - I am not even going to be drawn into a conflict with you regarding this. I have no idea who you are, and ergo, the same from you to I. The best one can do is to have a modicum amount of trust that those who do take the time out to discuss and debate on these boards do so from a position of honorability and trust.

So whether or not an issue can be proven for this matter and the reason WHY I posted is not the matter at hand here. The thread is about the establishment of a position on Ms. Rice's staff of advisors for a person versed in Anti-Semetism - and whether or not such a position is even required.
Exactly why I am questioning the motives in your posting such an emotionalized personal anecdote on this thread...

The 2nd portion of my post (that you notably failed to quote here) adresses that.

I realy do not believe that Rice named any anti-Semitist advisor :hmm:.

Good point Cleric.

Can anyone say if the subject about which we are arguing is actually true or not?

The adviser himself is not anti-semitic; his goal is to combat "the rising threat of anti-Semitism..."

Does Dr. Rice have a "senior adviser on "anti-Gentilism?" How about "Christophobia?" Or..."Islamophobia?"

Has Congress required an expanded role of the State Department in those areas?

Why do you appear to be complaining about the Secretary of State following laws passed by Congress?

Oh, Congress specifically endorsed the Jewish religion also. That makes it all better...

Please provide specific evidence supporting your assertion that congress and the administration endorsed Judaism.

The position stems from 2004 legislation sponsored by U.S. Rep. Tom Lantos (D-Calif.) and Sen. George Voinovich (R-Ohio) that expanded State Department monitoring of anti-Semitism.

Congress has granted special powers to the State Department to essentially spy on and censure anyone critical of Judaism (or in fact, Zionism). This protected status afforded to Jews is unique among any other groups...

Wait, Inqvisitor, you think that the United States is both Communist and fascist? How can this be? Or do you just take any opportunity to attack the USA by calling it political names of idealogies deemed offensive?

USA is a social marxist state.

This thread is great, it has elicited response from everyone across the political spectrum to question Inqvisitor's thinly veiled hatred of Jews. :goodjob:

As for the position of the advisor itself, I don't really see the need, but why not? Politicians are rather busy people and need plenty of advisors to tell them how to act.

So, to clarify, your proof that the US government has approved espionage and censure against anyone critical of Judaism in any way is a series of dots.

Likewise, evidence supporting your assertion that Congress has never authorized investigation of potential threats against any other group is that same series of dots.

Maybe it's Morse code. :crazyeye:

@Inqvis, monitering antisemitism probobly only means watching for cases where Jews are being mistreated abroad. That seems like a reasonable thing to moniter, doesn't it?

"Abroad...?"

This is the Bush regime we are talking about. The same one that just this year was forced to reveal it has been illegally eavesdropping on Americans for the past five years. "Anti-semitism" goes hand in hand with the "war on terror." Muslims, Christians and secularists alike have much to fear from this if they could ever have possibly been construed as being critical of "Israel..."

Any proof?

Oh, I forgot... you're just going to post some random punctuation marks as evidence of criminal activity, right?
