Rife much slower than other modmod ?

Hi,

I'm trying this modmod now and i find it's much slower than standard ffh or other modmod.
The first turns take between 10-15 seconds to finish. I'm also getting many warnings ingame about missing mp3 files.

Chronogically , I've installed :
- Civ 4 complete + patches
- FFH (works well)
- Tholal AI's patch (works well)
- Magister cultuum modmod (works well)
- Wildmana modmod (works well)
- Rife 1.4

What can I do to make a "clean" install ? erase all the previous modmod and install only rife ? This modmod seems so cool :(
 
Did you download the soundtrack? It might fix the missing mp3 files message.

As for the slowness... Yeah. That's kinda normal.
 
I'm downloading the sound files :)
And ok for the relative slowness, i'll try to be more patient ! and maybe i'll play on smaller maps.

well, MoM and Naval AI did (recently) much work to quicken their mods.
RifE is full of additional civs and mechanics that requires CPU time...
however IIRC it is quicker now than a few years ago.
 
rife doesnt need ffh2 to be installed so reinstalling it won't make any difference
