RIP Gregory Peck

I'm sorry, I just can't let this story slip by everyone who may have missed it. Yesterday the famed and beloved actory Gregory Peck died at the age of 87. I am unsure of the exact causes, but I assume it was old age. His wife told reporters that he passed away peacefully.

This is very sad, but I am happy that he lived a full life. 87 years is a fine age. He is my mother's favorite actor.

If some of you have never seen his work or are unaware of who he is, I highly recommend "Roman Holiday" in which he stars with the ever so beautiful Audrey Hepburn . I also recommend seeing him in "To Kill A Mockingbird," "The Guns of Navarone," and the original "Cape Fear." They were all excellent films.

In fact, his character in "To Kill A Mockingbird" was just recently voted the number one screen hero of all time....although I forget just who it was they polled.

Peck was one of those guiys for me that I would watch older movies just because he was in them when I was a kid because I loved THAT movie so much.
