THE EGYPTIAN EMPIRE (350 BC.)

Spoiler :

In 350 BC, the Mediterranean World was on the brink of war. The youthful
Romans were beginning to stand up against Mighty Carthage. To the East, a mad Macedonian king was raising his armies to fight the Persians.

Egypt, a once great empire was now caught in the middle of this. Egypt had once been great, but time has eroded the empire away. Now, the Egyptians must rise up if they ever hope to be great, or to even just survive.

The early years were rather calm. With a few exceptions. Not much has happened. Macedonia and Rome signed an alliance against the Carthaganians. But the most significant happening was the eruption of a volcano in Southern Italy.

Could this be a sign from the gods? An omen of defeat? Only time shall tell.

While the war between Rome and Carthage began to boil, we Egyptian began our own expansions. To the west we established the town of Heliopolis.

As time drags forward, the Carthigianians are faced with defeat. Rome has succeeded in uniting all of Sicily under its rule. This loss will surely hurt future Carthigianian efforts.

Meanwhile, contact is made with the Celts (via Rome) and maps are exchanged. But thats not all the Celts have done. Persian Diplomats brillantly convinced the Celts to join in the war against Macedon.

Meanwhile, Egypt continues to expand. Founding the city of Elephantine.

Not to long after, Pi-Ramesses is founded.

Thats all for now, what do ya'll think?

Interesting. I always wanted to do Rise of Rome as one of the minor civs, but have never gotten around to it.

Do you really need full-screen screenshots like that? They don't make my poor dial-up modem very happy. Why not crop them to show only the relevant information?

All right, Egypt in Rise of Rome. That'll be a challenge, probably good you turned the difficulty down a bit.

I agree with Hooray on the screenshots. I'm probably one of the worst offenders in the too-many-pictures category, but the gigantic screenshots presents another problem: those of us with 1024x768 resolution have to use the horizontal scroll bar to see all of your picture as well as the text.

Hmm, seems interesting. I'll be keeping up with this one. Good luck restoring Egypt. :)

I tried downloading the patch to play as the "non playable" civs but I cant figure out how to use it or where to download it to. I have civ 3 complete for mac, if anyone knows how and could help me out I would appreciate it.

I know people that have played as sweden in Napoleonic Europe, and I would like to play as either Egypt, Celts, Goths, or scythians for rise of rome.
There are a lot of unplayable civs for the middle ages that would be sick to play as also
Anyone know how to make the patch work for Mac???

I've played Egypt twice, assuming they'd be a conservative toe-in-the-water civ for this mod. I got trashed badly both times. It's not the one to start off with.

Did any of you guys notice that was a 3-year bump? I doubt the story will be coming back anytime soon.

I'll subscribe anyway. :p

Sort of a habit.
