Rise of the Daimyo

Daimyo Cyc clears up a Ronin camp SW of Fuji as his backup Samurai Archer takes out the Ronin trying to escape. 4/4 SA vs 2/2 Ronin = 2/4 SA

We are seeing way too many Mori baby-makers in this neck of the woods....

"Make love, not war." If you guys keep making war, someone needs to do the love making... ;) This is our contribution to rebuilding the beautiful countryside that you keep laying waste to.

Now that's a lie, Daimyo Lanzelot. The Takeda emptied the Hojo lands and the Oda emptied the lands of the Imagawa. The Uesugi were not responsible for the devastation. You want to place blame, place it on those who believe in genocide. This Daimyo wanted to bring those fine people into our nation.

Sorry, I was not using "you" as second person singular, but as second person plural... Like in "you guys up there"... :p
Ok, let me differentiate a bit more precisely: "you guys up there except for Cyc".

On the other hand:

The Uesugi declare on the Imagawa. Daimyo Cyc, treating all terrain like roads moves in and captures the capital city of Fuji, which was left ungarrisoned.

Troops advance towards Kawasaki.

So I take this back. "You guys up there including Cyc". :D

Nope. Sorry. Like the Date, the Uesugi wish to expand. We want to incorporate the villages and cities into our nation. Plus more. I can't really speak for the Date, only go on what I see and hear. But the Uesugi wish to enrich all new lands with culture, happiness, and growth.

The only two nations that have caused wastelands are the two I mentioned above. As far as your last statement, Fuji and Sanjo are still growing strong, flourishing under Uesugi sunlight. Too bad you'll be writing the history books for this world. :(

Looking from the Forests NW of Sanjo, a Uesugi Samurai Archer watches Daimyo Hawklord send a Takeda Bushi towards his former city. Daimyo Hawklord waits on the Mountain above to strike the attacking force that kills the Bushi he has sent out as bait. Perhaps the Daimyo is strong enough to beat the Archer after the battle. Perhaps not. But we will wait for back up.

This could be the reason Daimyo Hawklord is losing his nation. Perhaps he should stop using his troops as bait. Treat them with the honor they deserve. The Samurai hunkers down and makes final preparations.

Yamabushi captures undefended Mitsuke

Siege of Nagaoka:
4 Siege crossbows needed to redline a 4/4 Yamabushi
5/5 Yamabushi vs. 1/4 Yamabushi --> 1/5 Yamabushi (Nagaoka captured)

Being a man of honour and cherishing the old values Daimyo Hawklord went out looking for other Daimyos to fight. As Daimyo Calis surrounds himself with sycophants and hides behind their skirts.

But Daimyo Cyc also hides somewhere out of the way, no doubt trembling at the Daimyo slaying reputation of Daimyo Hawklord.

Finding none to fight he engaged enemy mounted units who had defiled his village.

Unfortunately by a cruel twist of fate Daimyo Hawklord tripped over the dead body of a peasant and was cut down by the enemy before he could recover.

Still he will go down in history as the only Daimyo in history to kill 2 Daimyos in defence of his homelands.

RIP Daimyo, you lived an honourable life.

bye guys, fun game

Sorry to hear the news, honorable Daimyo. I will play the next turn in your honor. You put up a good fight.

That's why I was down there

:D Well, yer not "down" here anymore. We will try to help the barren land of the Takeda as much as possible now that their leader has tripped and fallen on his sword.
