Risk Nes 1

yes, i'm sure. but just to give an example of what can be done. here is some things that orange (its the one i can play around with on the game screen without messing anything up)

What orange CAN do (only lets me do one of these, not two):
1. Move 5 armies from Brazil to north Africa.
or
2. move 1 army from egypt to north africa AND 2 from egypt to East Africa.

these are what orange CAN NOT do:
1. move 6 armies from Brazil to North Africa (even though there's 7 armies in brazil)
2. move 2 armies from Brazil to North Afrrica AND move 2 armies from egypt to North Africa. (even though N Africa can fit/get 4 armies, they cant come from 2 differnet places)

EDIT: PS. lol. posted this thing, looked up and saw it say that i had 5 new PMs. thought, "WOW, that's like most of the ordes already". go to the inbox and see:

Hmmm, I knew that personal trait would earn me infamy some day.

... Good things they're spread over only 15 minutes, or I'd look like a loser. :)
Nah, noone is (prev. statement) around here but we do play our games much.

Thanks for the rules explanation.

Gaming with other gamers... hmmm, that's the most enjoyable aspect of roleplaying. Sitting 'round a table w/ your friends. *sigh* Or slaughtering an NPC together. ;)

toteone please pelase please!!! dont attack into europe!!
and gelion i warned you!! now you shall die :evil: muhuhahahahaha! *hides*

Kentharu, don't you think I've got other things to do? It's obvious what black has been planning the last rounds... I'd be happy to discuss these matters w/ you through PM's though. :-)

still at my sister's place. was trying to decide if going home early (thereby being able to stop by work on the way) would be worthwile.
in a addition to some way more important reasons to stop by work, there was the "if i could do the risk game update, would keep me from getting into trouble on monday" reason. but since up to now i have a grand total of:
6 order PMs from Toteone
2 other order PMs from 2 other people
1 post on thread with order.

for a grand total of 4 orders, i'm not gonna bother.
but remember, if i get in trouble on monday for having risk up and running on my computer, it will be all YOUR fault. and i will blame those that havent sent orders for getting me in trouble at work and fired (if that should happen). then i'll be a outofwork pissed off guy with lots of time, and people to blame (you). and as can be seen from almost any game i play in i get a little over obsesed with things. so if i come looking for you in the night wielding a iron cast Risk board and a few throwing dice with sharp corners, dont be surprised. ;)

oh, and also, incase someone didnt notice, the names next to the colors in the first map of the update (the ones that shows the orders) included 2 "no orders" for yellow and orange. that's cause i never got any orders for them and had to do them myself.

RoodyVR! This might truly get you fired?

Quit Mod'ing... or so I think. It's for your best. ;) innit?

so only red (jason) and purple(toteone) ended up having ordered a tactical move. dont think there's reason to show the GIF with the orders. so here's the end result.
now need reinforcement orders:
Code:
Orange= NPC ======	9
Purple= Toteone ===	9
Black== North King ===	5
Yellow= NPC ======	3
Red==== Jason King ===	4
Blue=== Bacon King ===	3
Green== Kentharu ===	3

not sure where texas toast has disappeared to so i've NPCed Orange.
so Yellow and Orange are now both open to anyone who wants them.
post that you're interested and send orders, and its yours.

every player except North King (black) has 3 cards. North King didnt win a combat second turn so he's short one card. will send PMs with what you have to each of the active players in a few mins.

I already sent my reinf. orders in the tactical movement phase!
Get a move on folks!
Three orders to go if no new players arrive to fill up the vacated positions.

Black: Why do you wish for destruction? It shall be yours if you do not waver from your perilous decision to match your strength with me. To build a home in the south is naught but a losing dream, it will earn you destruction.

since this is the first turn that anyone has 3 cards, i'll rehash the rules for trading them in.
if you trade in 3 infantry cards, you get 4 more reinforcements
if you trade in 3 cavalry cards, you get 6 more reinforcements
if you trade in 3 cannon cards, you get 8 more reinforcements
if you trade in 1 infantry, 1 cavalry and one cannon you get 10 more reinforcements.

if you own the territories shown on any of the cards you trade in, you get 2 additional reinforcements in each of those territories.

remember that each province has a limit of how many reinforcemetns it can recieve, so if yellow for example were to trade in a 1/1/1 set for 10 reinfocements, most of them would be wasted, since it can only place 5 reinforcements total (2 each in brtain and N Europe and 1 in ural). and since its getting 3 reinforcements already, it would only realy gain 2 armies from trading in the set.

also, the armies you get for trading in cards who's territories you own (the bonus 2s) are NOT counted toward the amount of armies you can place in a territory. so if i take yellow as example again, if he had a Britain, N Europe and a Ural card that he could trade in, he would actualy get a total reinfocement of 11 armies (5 he can place, and 6 from the +2s of the cards)

Did Gelion quit if so ill take over for him roddy. I think I understand the rules.

HS, you can take Yellow if you want, yes, Gellion quit. i never realized he didnt post that on the thread. he sent me a PM saying he's quiting a while back.
i'll send you the PM with Yellow's cards in a minute.

an optimistic soul of a player asked what happens when a player is eliminated. tell you the truth i'm not 100% sure on this yet. but as far as i can tell.

the computer does all the battles in an order that i cannot figure out but it groups em into sets that dont affect eachother,
it does border clashes first (two territories sending armies to attack eachother, winner's left over armies are now treated as regular attack)
then mass invasions (one territory attacked from more then one direction, defender fights all attackers as one enemy)
then regular attacks
then spoils of war (if more then one player attacked same territory and have killed the defender i nthe mass invasion part, the attackers' leftover armies now fight it out for control of territory)
the it does the surge attacks after all that is done.

in each of these "groups" of fights there can be many attacks that wont affect eachother, and the computer someone determines an order of doing them.

now for elimination.
when the last army of a nation is killed, the territory it was defending in or attacking to is remembered.
at the end of the turn, whoever ownes that territory, gets the defeated player's leftover RISK cards.

So right now I can put like 1 army into Brazil cuz it only connects to one country.

Also can I like go from brazil invade argentina and keep attacking till i want to stop like in regular RISK

so you're taking Orange, not yellow. ok. not sure why the question about Gelion then.... but whatever.
1. you can put upto 2 armies in brazil cause it connects to one other territory you own. (1 for itself and one for connection)

2. when you issue attack orders, you say how many armies you want to send on the attack, and that's how many go. there is no "continue to attack....." type deal. its a one time shot. you send X armies, and they either win or lose.

ok thanks. sending orders

now waiting on reinforcement orders from black and blue

EDIT: (well and yellow also, but it has no player, so i'm not realy waiting for em)
