Rod02-Caesar's Confusion

It depends on how many cav armies we get in the next4 or 5 turn sets. If we can get a bunch of them up, we can just run over everyone. I did not get many leaders as most of the combat was armies.
 
I will probably coem around to play 1 or 2 turns per day, So I plan on doing 5 and get the game back in rotation by midweek.
 
Sounds good to me, play what ever fits your schedule. The normal 10 turns is out the window in most AW games after you get to the point where you are killing that many units per turn and are on a good size map.

It gets to be a fair amount of work. The log alone take lots of time. They get so long, that is one of the reason I like to post mine in chunks. No one wants to read them in one setting.

I was pretty surprised to see I managed to play all 10 turns in one day. I don't recall ever doing that in one of these games.

My Daughter stopped waking up at 5 am, costing me my normal Civving hours (from 5 to 7) and my Compi ate a full turn due to loss of energy.

But that was actually good, as I got my second leader in the replay.

I am now giving over in the middle of turn 5, having finisehd most of the greek Front.

There is a bit of a situation on the hittite front, where a pair of swords slid through the moor and then defeated my reacton force. But I moved back a couple of units and they shopuld be able to reach the Stack before they can create real problems.

We got two new leaders which are Cav Armies now.

Pike are beginning to mount up, which slows down or Knight Armies, but no muskets so far.

Apart from that not much happened.

I'll start on this tomorrow, hopefully I can continue the progress. I'll probably only do 5 turns, due to the size of the map and the number of opponents.
 
Play however many you feel like Overseer. These games can bog down with a couple hundred battles per set, do as many or few as you want.

But Yeah Overseer, do as many as time permits you, the other guys are quarelling for more sets :p
 
@Rodent: Do you want to swap turnsets with me? That means you would play after Overseer gets done. I doubt that I will have time to play until Thursday and maybe not even then.
 
I have done 1 turn officially but it feels like 2 with as many moves were left. It is getting a little harder taking enemy cities with all the pikes around. Iron is plentiful on this map and everyone seems to have it. Cavalry helps, but it takes so long to get to the fronts. On the good news/ bad news front....the Hittites are gone, but I lost a Knight army doing it. Will try to get in a couple more turns tonight.
 
I've held this up long enough, I will pass it on. I would've done this earlier, but today was my father's viewing, so I was naturally busy. Progress continues, I burned several enemy cities, though I think we need a wave of settlers to fill the open spaces created by razings, or we'll need to burn replacement towns. One nice note, the Inca and Chinese are at war, so that might help a little. Here is the turn-log:

I'm sorry for your loss. My father passed away about 12 years ago. Even though we weren't that close, and we knew he was going down, it was still a shock.

No need to apoligize for your turns or the time it took. It may be intense, but this is only a game.
