Last night, Roger Federer won the Australian Open to give him his 7th Grand Slam of his career. He survived a close call from the unseeded Marcos Baghdatis, winning 5-7, 7-5, 6-0, 6-2. I was watching the match on TV, and some of the shots they were playing were so amazing i couldnt believe it. Roger Federer was calm throughout the match, and he didnt look tired at all. The emotion shown by him at the end proved that he had to worked really hard for his win. Personally, i think that Baghdatis could be Federers biggest threat in a year or two.

Possibly...
But Rafael Nadal is also a strong candidate for that position.
It would be good for the game if someone stepped up to Federer's level and became a strong rival, because it might become a bit boring if it is Federer all the time.

It was enjoyable to watch, especially when they focused on Baghdatis' girlfriend, his coach's daughter. She is just :wow:

Now onto the actual match. It was a shame that Baghdatis lost steam, because it would have been good to see whst would have happened if the game went to five sets, but the Class of Federer showed again. It was a shame that the women's final was a big let down.

On a side note, Martina Hingis won yet another trophy by winning the Mixed doubles. She now has won just about everything there is to win for women.

Henin-Hardene wont have any respect anymore. Retiring in the final, and only when your opponent looks like a certain winner. :thumbdown

Roger Federer wins.
Big surprise.
Until Nadal gets better, I think Federer wins almost every tournament he plays in.
He will win 3 out of 4 majors this year, the other one going to some unheralded player.
