Role Play Challenge: Hannibal's Deal with the Devil!

*awk!* polly wants your mama's sweet ass! *awk!*

sorry, scary movie 2. haha

Well done, Mad me lad!. Nothin' like a bit o' the old ultra-violence to cheer an old pirate's heart. I'd be a-ponderin' ol' Beelzebub's Bargain in plannin' the path ahead. I be a-thinkin' that the march ahead o'er the Devil's Bridge may be nothin' more than a traipse in the park, or it may be a long hard march to the other shore. Now if it's the short road ye face, then rifles and cannons will certainly get there in good time. But if it's the long road ye be facin', ye might want a good lot o' them pistol-packin' ponies to get there before they grow old and yer enemies grow strong.

Hannibal shadow game, part 2 through 1295AD (to same point in the game where Mad is):
Spoiler :

Act 3: Gimme Shelter

To start the next segment, the tech path was masonry, AH, writing, math, contruction, HBR, hunting, currency, archery, code of laws, and metal casting. Key military techs were brought online, gaining us access to the UU, seige, and war elephants. The plan is to tech to an overpowering military advantage (maces and xbows) and use that to rex out the continent via war.

The first order of businesss was claiming horses and adding a few more cities. In 980BC I found Hadrumetum in the original starting area, on top of silk and claiming pigs and horses. Harappan, a barb city that claims elephants and floodplains, was captured in 860BC. Ainu, another barb city SE of Washington with good production, was captured in 530BC. Code of Laws was completed the turn before, founding confucianism in Utica (the city blocking the isthmus). Finally, Shangian, a barb city on iron with rice and cows was taken in 500BC:
HP_BC0500Shangian.jpg

In 500BC we convert to hinduism, and our religions start to spread to our neighbors. Monty converts to hinduism and Peter to confucianism. That should sow a bit of discord among them! In 190BC our first great person is born, a great spy who is settled in Shangian to avoid further pollution Washington's gpp.

We tech off civil service and switch to bureaucracy. Machinery is started, which will give us our key military advantage. Meanwhile, barb cities continue to pop up to the north and southwest. I keep a team of swords busy, razing them for cash and getting several of them up to CR3. These will be upgraded to maces as soon as machinery finishes. Peter sent some swordsmen and chariots into my land, and I become concerned that he'll capture a barb city somewhere nearby, so I close borders with him. Apparently, he doesn't like this, which, combined with our religious differences, starts things rolling. I anticipate this, and Utica (with 50% cultural defense due to walls and being a holy city) is well-stocked with cats, jumbos, numidians, swords, and axes.

Act 4: Let It Bleed

In 20BC Peter declares war and bribes Monty in as well. Excellent! As usual, they send in stacks of a half-dozen or so units at a time, but nothing better than chariots, catapults, axes, and swords. Wellies and numidians make mincemeat of them, and my woody3 axeman quickly heals them after each battle, usually in a single turn (except for the most badly wounded).
HP_AD200.jpg

Once machinery finishes, we start on aesthetics, polytheism, and literature. Swords are upgraded to maces and crossbows are added to the mix. All Monty and Peter are doing now is giving my units XPs, and my first GG is born in 190AD. We settle him in Carthage, where we will build the heroic epic eventually. The attacks peter out  and in 230AD we counterattack, razing Krasnoyarsk which Peter founded atop the marble in the center of the isthmus (I really only want quality cities at this point, and that one would take forever to develop). In 260AD they've had enough for the time being, and I take peace with Monty and Peter in return for all of their :gold: (more unit upgrades and deficit research!).

Once lit finishes I start the Heroic Epic in Carthage, the Great Library in Utica, and the Statue of Zeus in Hadrumetum. Engineering is the next tech in line. Finally in 410AD we're ready to roll through the northern continent, and I DOW Peter.
HP_AD0410DOWPeter.jpg

There's not much to say about the war, other than it was very easy with such overwhelming advantages in both quality and quantity. Monty joins in on his own, and manages to take a city (temporarily, Aztecio, temporarily!) on his own. In 505AD I settle a city south of Washington to claim the tundra marble, speeding up the GL build. In 515AD General George Patton is born and settled in Carthage. In 590AD the SoZ is completed in Hadrumetum. In 620AD I take peace with Peter after capturing Moscow and 5 other cities, in order to take his remaining techs (sailing and meditation).
HP_AD0620capturedcities.jpg

HP_AD0620overviewofNcontinent.jpg

I adopt Bureaucracy at this time as well. Monty takes peace with Peter in 635AD, and I get alphabet from Monty in trade. Priesthood and monotheism are researched next so that I can build a couple of temples and speed up infrastructure builds (universities first, then grocers and banks, and of course the wonders that I am building). 2 Temples for the 2 religions are built in Washington, and we start running a couple priest specialists to try to generate a prophet for the hindu shrine.

After tearing through Peter, I heal up and reposition forces for a 2-pronged attach on Monty in 715AD.
HP_AD0715DOWMonty.jpg

In 835AD another GG is born and settled in Carthage. As new troops arrive in theater I DOW Peter again (in 885AD) and finish him off. Finally, in 935AD the Aztec civilization is destroyed. I doubt if I lost more than 8 units in the entire war. I end up with a couple of C2CR3 maces, which well upgrade to rifles quite nicely, thank you very much.

Monarchy, Paper and education finish in 1120AD, and liberalism is started next. After the war the economy was in shambles. The newly conquered cities felt the sting of the lash as I whipped courthouses in the newly conquered cities, and more than a few of the old ones were set to building wealth in order to keep the research rate up. In 1215AD the UoS is completed in Ainu, and in 1225AD we get the message that we exceed the domination population limit! Here is the view of our empire in 1230AD with 23 cities:
HP_AD1230southernview.jpg

HP_AD1230northernview.jpg

HP_AD1230cities.jpg

In 1245AD I win the liberalism race and take nationalism as the free tech. I start building the Taj in Ainu, which has the most :hammers:. I start teching feudalism, planning to head for guilds, banking, and gunpowder. The game seems well in hand at this point. I have tons of land, and once we get to communism I will fill the southern continent with watermills, workshops, and windmills for military production.

To end the segment with a bang, in 1285AD a Great Prophet is born in Washington, and I build the Kashi Vishwanath (a major economic boost as hinduism is everywhere on both continents), and in 1295AD the first of the AIs from overseas reaches our shores.

Move the Pirate capital to Washington, best commerce/Science city in the empire. Forbidden Palace, well you know you need it. Spam out The religion, dedicate one city to Missionary's only.

Settle some of that Tundra land, it'll have forest for lumber mills, some resources are bound to show up, and gives you more land and power, as well as a pirate ice skating rink.

Hannibal's Deal with teh Devil: Part 5

Ti's a long segment here, and we done found ourselves some other leaders over yonder.

But first, what did we do this segment:

Aye Maties, the techpath went: education/literature/Philosophy/Liberalism/Gunpowder/Replaceable Parts/Rifling/Economics/Nationalism/Military Tradition. Whew, that's alot.

We took da' advice o' IPEX and moved the capital to Washington while building the Forbidden Palace in Polly's land!

HanE0000.jpg

Tis' a fine city old Abe left us, we done always do a toast to the American everynight, bless da' poor Yank's Soul.

And as we continue to build infrstructure, we done discovered a few other leaders.

HanE0001.jpg

Zara, pleased to meet you. Sorry you will be soon dead.

We then meet Zara's master.

HanE0002.jpg

Mr. Khan! Seams to be a good old war-monger like ourselves.

SO first of all, how does the tech situation look like

HanE0003.jpg

Mighty Favorable for us and Polly!

And the Devil held up his end of the deal, giving us a rather poor ice-bridge to the unknown

HanE0004.jpg

Nevertheless, a deal is a deal!

Oh, Polly

HanE0005.jpg

Polly want a tech, awk, Polly want a tech. That's a good Aztec, now go away and stop bothering me.

Now, we's be a having some nice early diplomacy with that sour looking Zara

HanE0006.jpg

HanE0007.jpg

Now let's take a peep o' what the other land looks like.

HanE0008.jpg

HanE0009.jpg

Aye Maties, looks like Zara is near the Devil's Bridge while Mr. Khan seams to be much further south.

We popped ourselves a really Smart Great Scientist and we let him setup shop in Washington (a toast to old ABE).

HanE0010.jpg

Now all those Barbarian cities are a blight on the fine Cartherginian empire, so we decide it's time to clean them out and resettle.

HanE0011.jpg

HanE0012.jpg

Meanwhile we decide to spread the words od Philosophy, hoping one of those crazed leader over Yonder adopts a pacifist approach to life.

HanE0013.jpg

HanE0014.jpg

And continuing our anti-Barb policy

HanE0015.jpg

Now an interesting thing happened here.

HanE0016.jpg

Apparently old Zara doest built hisself the old AP and has appointed hisself some sort of religious leader. And by some stroke of good fortune, one of our new cities quickly got that faith. Now Polly still soea not have that religion so we are safe for a bit, but we decided to start spamming that AP religion as much as we could.

Settling a few more cities

HanE0017.jpg

A little better view of our Sea Bridge

HanE0018.jpg

The devil Aint much of a sculptor, is he now.

Now as far as domination, this is where we stand

HanE0019.jpg

Then things started getting "Interesting"

To Be Continued.........................

Hannibal's Deal with the Devil: Part 5

So we were first to Liberalism

HanE0020.jpg

And we opted for Printing Press to help out our fine towns.

Now since we have been in Organized religion and need to get a Judaist Missionary out of a low production city, we opted to NOT swap civics yet. As you can see regarding our faiths

HanE0021.jpg

Still spreading those shine religions and need to start a spreading the AP.

After Liberlaism we be doing fine

HanE0022.jpg

SO we proceeded down the Military line o' the tech tree.

we destroyed the last Barb city

HanE0023.jpg

And once we got Judaism spread to a high production city we swapped civics

HanE0024.jpg

Time to be building some strong military, and Carthage with it's 2 settled GGs is our Military Powerhouse, with the Heroic Epic!

And we be claiming some nice lands

HanE0025.jpg

Until Mr. Khan has shown us he discoved that Devil's Birdge

HanE0026.jpg

POLLY! DEFEND THAT CITY!!!!!!!!

HanE0027.jpg

Aye Maties, that be a sizeable stack bringing some of those Mongol UUs which our UUs fair poorly against. Still we have a sizeable force ourselves in dat there region, and we sent it off to help out Polly.

HanE0028.jpg

They arrived one turn too late, yet this worked to our advantage. We used our powerful Catapults and Trebs to greatly weaken Mr. Khan's war machine and used our army and cavalry to exterminate it.

HanE0029.jpg

Polly want his city back, AWK, Polly want his city back!!! Dance birdbrain, gives us a dance!

We lost 1 Jumbo, I Numidian, and 1 cat while destroying Mr. Khan's army. After that he was willing to talk.

HanE0030.jpg

Of course he tempted us with sailing which we refused.

We then got's ourselves a pair of Great Merchants, one from our city and another from first to economics.

HanE0031.jpg

All were sent to Monty's best coastal city for 3900 gold each so we can upgrade our fine CR III Melee units to CR promoted rifles!

AT this time we finished Military Tradition and saved our game pondering the next tech decision

HanE0034.jpg

Aye Maties, do we opt for Chemistry followed by steel for those fine cannons, or constitution/democracy for the production power of US and faster cottages. Me thinks Mr. Khan has no love for granting emancipation anytime soon.

Looking at techs

HanE0035.jpg

Rifles versus Longbows.

The Glance screen

HanE0036.jpg

Old Chuckie (ah yes, the last Ai, Mr. Khan's Cronie) is a loving Mr. Khan.

Demographics

HanE0037.jpg

Not quite as many soldiers as Mr. Khan but that be OK.

Another view o' the Devil's Bridge

HanE0038.jpg

And religion

HanE0039.jpg

I is a thinking to convert our lands to that fine AP religion Zara is so keen about. Sure Polly would have his feathers ruffeld a bit but we's are not a caring much. We have enough of our core production cities as Judaist to help out. And we can convert Polly to the correct faith easy enough.

SO I say we massively build up. Aim for Assembly line for infantry and end the game without ever getting scientific method. We not be a needing oil and that +30% science from monestaries are nice. Still, State Property could be a big help for our fine empire, if we really care about research post-Assembly Line.

Alright Me lads and lasses, what do yea all say!

why were Genghis and Zara annoyed with you on first contact?

Aye me friend, they no be aliking us Hindu heathens very much. And Mr. Khan always has a serious frown on his face.

Man, Zara didn't waste any time settling the dopey ice bridge.

Having a vassal can be cool in that you can give him coastal cities that you cannot keep. Helps your domination limit, and I think that you'll still remain large enough whereby he will not be able to break away.

SP might be useful for the production bonus, but chances are you'll be done teching everything you're allowed to before the Khan catches up. Still, what other civic would you be running? FM for the TR seems a bit pointless, and you'll never reach enviromentalism.

Rifles, cavalry, and cannons, matey, that be the ticket! You have such a huge :hammers: advantage over the others that it'll be like shooting fish in a barrel. I say go chemistry/steel (and BTW, you could have easily delayed lib to take steel instead of PP  ) then SciMeth communism (if you really want to see you economy take off). Convert to a :hammers: economy, build cavalry and cannons everywhere, an vassal them all to hell and gone.:) I doubt you'll need infantry. Honestly, you could attack right now and win easily with only upgraded rifles/cav.

^Yeah Mad. You can win so easily. Why did you decide to play Monarch?

Shadow game completion, 1620AD conquest victory:

Spoiler :

Act 5: Back in the USSR
In the year of Our Lord 1295AD, the first foreign ship from o'er the seas reaches our shore. We receive the emissary of one Prince Zara, who seems an agreeable enough chap. He is willing enough to share some techs with us, so we trade him education for guilds, drama, calendar, and a map. In 1305AD we start settling more land, founding Kerkouane SW of Washington to claim unused floodplains for a small GP farm. Our tech order is printing press and replaceable parts.
HP_AD1305techs.jpg

We trade Zara nationalism for banking and compass in 1330AD. Then in 1344AD we meet an old friend.
Hannibal's dreams were disturbed. He was lost in a fog of sulpherous smoke, and a voice called out his name. Waking suddenly, drenched in sweat, he could dimly make out a familiar shape.
"Allow me," said the voice, as a match was struck, illuminating the darkenss.
"Old Nick," said Haanibal. "I see you've come to fulfill your end of our bargain, as I have fulfilled mine."
"That I have. Now close yer eyes, that I may show you the world as you've n'er seen it."
And it seemed to Hannibal that he rose to a great height above the world, so high indeed that it became a huge globe. Across the vast sea to the west he saw the shape of another large continent, and just to the northeast of it lay a large island.
"That be a perfect staging ground for my forces to gather a'fore we make our invasion," said Hannibal. "Now build me a bridge to yon island and wait until my armies have gathered in force. Then I'll call upon you to build the final link, the fulfillment of our bargain."
"I shall do as you ask," said the Devil.
"And if I may inquire further," said Hannibal, "what power do ye possess that enables you to mold the world as ye wish?"
"'Tis an ancient and unholy spell called 'the Worldbuilder.'"
"'Tis surpassingly cool," said Hannibal in amazement.
HP_AD1374landbridge.jpg

We sent forces to investigate this new land, which was peopled by barbarians. A single knight took the first city, Bactrian, which we kept. Another was razed, as it was poorly placed for our purposes. We built a settler to place on the west coast, where we planned to start our invasion. We build trebuchets and knights (which will upgrade to cannon and cavalry) in every city that isn't busy with infrastructure, and start moving them over to the small continent.

In 1354AD the Taj was completed in Ainu, and in the subsequent Golden Age we did a massive civics swap to mercantilism, caste system, Free Speech, Organized Religion, and Hereditary Rule. In 1360AD we got the hindu spread event, which allowed us to convert 4 of our cities. In 1368AD printing press finishes and we start replaceable parts. Soon afterwards, in 1374AD another ship arrives in our waters, belonging to one Charlemagne, who seems rather grumpy and is not willing to trade with us. The same year, Plato, a great scientist, is born.
HP_AD1376techs-1.jpg

1388AD Replaceable Parts completed
1396AD Trade Zara for optics
1402AD Gunpowder completed
1408AD Genghis Khan captures one of Zara's cities
1410AD Gepid ( a barb city) destroyed on the small continent
1422AD Great scientist is born
1428AD Chemistry completed
1430AD Scientific Method bulbed with 2 GS
1450AD DOW Charlemagne after he settles a couple of cities on the small continent. We were late in getting a settler there.
1452AD Florence is auto-razed
1458AD Pisa is auto-razed
1466AD Ulm auto-razed, we take peace with Charlemagne for some :gold: from him, a GS is born, and communism is completed.
1468AD Switch to State Property. We start building watermills and workshops everywhere we can, although we leave most of the existing towns on our southern continent.
1480AD Trade Zara for constitution and music and adopt representation
1496AD Rifling completed.
1498AD Trade Zara for theocracy and adopt it
1508AD DOW Genghis at Zara's request (Khan doesn't have astro yet, so it's a phony war)
1512AD Military tradition completed, and we start building cavalry everywhere we can.
1532AD Take peace with Khan
1536AD Steel completed

Act 6: Let It Bleed (reprise)

Finally, in 1548, our forces are assembled.
HP_AD1548invasionforcesready.jpg

Our good friend Beelzebub links our island to the mainland.
HP_AD1554thefinallink.jpg

In 1554AD we DOW Charlemagne, and he bribes Khan in against us as well. Good, we'll take out both of their stacks at the same time!
HP_AD1554pullingthetrigger.jpg

1556AD We capture Luxemburg on the small continent, another city that Charlemagne settled on our island. Our main stack heads to Aachen, Charlemagne's capital, which I suspect will be loaded with wonders.
1564AD Steam Power completed
HP_AD1564attackAachen.jpg

1566AD We capture Aachen, Charlemagne's capital, losing only a single cannon. Check out this booty:
HP_AD1566insideAachen.jpg

Khan had a large stack of knights on the hill to the south of Aachen. We took them out on the same turn that we captured the city.

1574AD The AP stops the war with Khan, which is fine with us. It gives us time to capitulate Charlemagne, heal our forces, and get them into position to attack Khan next.
1576AD We capture Prague, Charlemagne capitulates, and I liberate Prague back to Charlemagne. I don't plan on keeping any cities other than Aachen (which, besides being loaded with wonders, is a shrined holy city that guards our land bridge).
1594AD DOW Khan, capture Adwa on the first turn of the war
HP_ADDOWKhan.jpg

1596AD capture Old Sarai, Khan capitulates, I liberate Old Sarai to him and Adwa to Charlemagne
1602AD Railroad completed
1610AD DOW Zara
1612AD capture Qohaito, economics completed
1616AD Capture Gondar, and our forces are outside of Zara's capital:
HP_ADoutsideZarascapital.jpg

1620AD Zara capitulates, conquest victory 172,375 points
HP_AD1620victory.jpg

HP_AD1620score.jpg

You can really see how the hammer economy takes off once we switch to state property:
HP_AD1620power.jpg

We were producing an average of 3 cavalry per turn. There's no way the AIs could compete.

Hmph. That there Ethiopian be tryin' to take the land the Devil raised 'fer us 'fer himself, Captain. He be in for a rude awakening, yes, indeed.

I say we press forward whilst we hold a strong tech advantage, if that be savvy with the Captain. Even if we only take a chunk out of ol' Zara's Empire, it'll damage his research enough to ensure he'll never catch up, which'll make this whole business a hell of a lot easier when we've got a whole continent to invade. For Domination we probably don't even need to worry about Khan if we can manage to take out all of Ethiopia, unless I be readin' the map wrong.

Be careful not to be giftin' them cities to Polly, either. 'ye be gettin' more land mass if you keep them for yerself. Also, 'ye don't want him to be gettin' to big for his britches and breakin' free now, do we?

Of course, I'm both horrible at Pirate-speak and CivIV, so feel free to pass over my advice. x3

Aye Matie, all advice tis' appreciated.

We done played the next segment and will post it in a wee bit. It be long-winded so be a bit patient.

Tis's historical irony 'cause me be feelin' like the real-life Hannibal, trouncing throughout the enemies lands without doing so much as a snicker of damage to that Mr. Khan. Just like Hannibal runnin g through Italy but never touching that darn strong city of Rome.

^Yeah Mad. You can win so easily. Why did you decide to play Monarch?

Tis' aint that easy me lad, 'tis not that easy. And Monarch be what these RPCs are made fer!

Hannibal and his Deal with the Devil: Part VI

Aye maties, we be in for a very long time here. That Mr. Khan got's himself good land there and a mighty large is backwards army. His cronies be teching pretty darned well demselves but mericully they aint departing with those techs to Mr. Khan.

But enough wind-bagging meself, let's discuss the techpath before we get into de' game.

Steel/Steam Power/Constitution/Corpporation/Assembly Line/Fascism/start democracy.

So we starts by getting our good mate Polly to prep hisself for teh long battle up ahead

HanF0000.jpg

Dat's a good Polly. Me is a glad we left him with such a decent amount of land as any good captain needs a mascot, her ePolly have some crackers. Wark!

So we also been working on a spreading the AP faith a we bit

HanF0001.jpg

SO we adopts it to give a bit more sway on those AP votes.

Then Mr. Khan insults us fine CAtheginians

HanF0002.jpg

Demanding gold from a Pirate, indeed an insult!
We refused

We also popped another GM

HanF0003.jpg

Which we used to upgrade a littel bit while further boosting our Core cities defenses incase Mr. Khan decides to send a few Galleons our way. He never did!

SO now, what to do with That ethiopian gent blockading our well earned devil's bridge

HanF0005.jpg

So we start razing those Ethiopian citis one by one

HanF0006.jpg

Now, that Devils Bridge is painfully slow to cross even with a few workers building a road after us. The cities are coastal so we cannot keep them, nor did Polly want them. Nothing else to do.

The we get's the Holy Crusade request!

HanF0007.jpg

Yes sir, another gift from the Devil. Start a Holy Crusade in the Devil's name!

We then tried to cheat teh devil a wee bit and opted for a fast Diplomatic win! Surely an AP holy victory trounces the Devil's pact!

HanF0008.jpg

But nay maties, we no had enough votes to get victory that way.

HanF0009.jpg

So we continued to set that ice Bridge on fire.

Here Polly, I have a few crumbs for ya!

HanF0011.jpg

Meanwhile, we finally cleared off the devilis bridge

HanF0012.jpg

And we finally be a seeing Mr. Khan's army finally

HanF0013.jpg

And what a whopper it was. Note the word WAS!

Being limited in movement on this here bridge, we simply waited where we were. Next trun Mr. Khan moved right next to us. We pummeled his stack (knights/pikes/crossbows/maces/trebs) with cannon fodder followed by our flanking II Cavalry with rifles for mop up. We destroyed his entire stack while losing almos tnothing. After that we always maintained a pwoer edge over Mr. Khan!

HanF0015.jpg

Aye you can see how many units we destroyed here. About an equal number were killed next turn as Mr. Khan suicided his troops into our stack!

No we be a peakin' at the tech situation.

HanF0014.jpg

Note Chuckie now has himself rifles and cavalry. That aint a pretty sight.

HanF0016.jpg

However, a fortuitous event occured, as Chuckie decided he was better off without Mr. Khan's protection and opted for a peace deal.

HanF0017.jpg

So we does a heal our troops while we get reinforcements

HanF0018.jpg

And one of these troops be a medic III Cavalry unit with the leadership promotion! Good enough to allow us to sconstruct West Point in Washington. We also built us the IronWorks in Petey's old most northern city for fast like military production

So by the save we have
1) Carthage with the Heroic Epic and 2 settled GGs
2) Navorogad with the IronWorks, a levee and 1 settle GG
3) Washinton with West Point, and a levee.

So we loaded up our army again

HanF0019.jpg

And move on me maties, there is much more we need's a doing!

To Be Continued

Hannibal and his Deal with the Devil: Part VI

So now That Ethiopian guy is a trying to use his Popemanship to end this fine war.

HanF0020.jpg

But like I said, we got's enough votes to negate such a deal. In fact, Mr. Khan actually defied that there resolution!

SO we quickly destroyed the first Ethiopian city we found

HanF0021.jpg

And directed Polly to attack that very northern one. At which he failed miserably but certainly destroyed some enemies along the way. Wark, Polly want a cracker!

Now as we going to be nice a orderley-like by marching down the coast we found this annoyance.

HanF0022.jpg

Arggggggg, Cursed Holy Roman Culture!!!!!!!!!!!!!

However, we never let something like that be a stopping us

HanF0023.jpg

Sorry Chuckie, you should have opened borders with us!

Polly want a cracker!

HanF0024.jpg

Ark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So we diverted our troops and headed towards the city of Maize

HanF0025.jpg

I be a seeing a nice shiney spiraling Wonder there!

HanF0026.jpg

HanF0027.jpg

But twas too good to last as it was retaken by Mr. Khan while we tried to attack otehr cities. And gifted back to Chuckie!

POLLY!!!!!!!!!!

HanF0028.jpg

Now go capture Maize for us!

Now we popped the next GP

HanF0029.jpg

Being our treasury is well stocked already we opted for a Golden Age to speed up Assembly Line and eventually get Facsim before it ended.

We also readjusted civics to make sure we got Fascism in time!

HanF0030.jpg

But what be our massive army a doing.

HanF0031.jpg

Aye, 'tis a shame to raze the Christian Holy City on this here fine morning, but we a being have things to do!

And since Polly has proven incompetant at taking that northern Ethiopian city (who now has rifles and cavalry!)

HanF0032.jpg

I should not be so hard on Old Polly, he did recapture Maize for our war effort, getting some nice local land to heal in!

Ourselves, we took the Ethiopian Capital!

HanF0033.jpg

And danged close to the Judaist Holy City to fullfill that lovely Crusade request from the Devil!

Polly want a cracker!

HanF0034.jpg

At a good pet!

Yea god's, a friendly Monty!!!!!!!

Here we upgraded our rifles to infantry

And prepared to attacked the Judaist Holy city. However we were delayed as Mr. Khan send a large and backwards stack towards it. We aint losing this city like Mainze!

Now we also be a building another large stack near the north, using Polly's city of Maize as sort of a shield!

The infantry is just starting to reach this region! I's a figure I can take out alot of Chuckie's land up here!

And 1 turn left on the Golder Age

So we now can deal better with War weariness (I thinks that Ethiopian guy has the SoZ in Gondor!) as well as pop out faster military and get a wee bit more happiness. Having the culture slider at 20% has worked for a while but not long enough.

So here we have our first army ready to strike out.

Noone has chemistry, thus noone has steel!

So we be a saving the game here, looking to try and knock out Churckie and that Ethiopian guy next round!

Did you not think, old boy, that it might be quite inappropriate to destroy the holy city of Christianity, son, on Easter day? Quite as it is from my position to put a damper on a lad's spirited antics, but, old bean, you must calm down!
