Role Play Challenge: Julian Assange YouTube Shadow

Hi all, I am shadowing MadScientist's RPC on Julian Assange, but in video form. Some "shadow"? It's still his show, this is just my approach .

This thread is for discussion on my video approach to his and possibly to compare his approach to mine and those of others shadowing the game.

Great LP as always. Your expansion is pretty impressive. Great Wall ftw!

I'm voting for something closer to the Office in length as opposed to House. Either way works, though. 40 is just a little long for those of us who are still in school and have work to get done, but don't have the self-discipline needed to stop a video in the middle.

Just a question: Why didn't you focus your expionage on one person only? Did you forget to do so or just wanted to keep your choices open until alphabet?
You might want to consider settling a "Trojan city". This should ideally be very close to your capital and have your state religion present. (maybe a city to the west of your capital?) This would make espionage missions significantly cheaper and the whole process would be a lot more convinient. However, I'm not sure at which stage of the game you are, so this suggestion may come too late...
I'm probably gonna try this and report whether it worked
As for the length, 30 min is ok for me.

Choices open. You'll notice I keep the slider killed until I commit in the next video or two.

Self-discipline is unneccesary in schooling, just bribe the professor or find an elaborate cheating method...I vote for the House length vids, and maybe you should develop a Vicodin addiction, try your hand at an English accent, and mesmerize us all with your uncanny cynicism!

Just wondering would it be better to grow to pop3 before starting on the first settler when u had fish deer and beaver, could u get the settlers sooner then ?

Longer vids is definitely better. Usually I just create a playlist and play all of the shorter ones without interruption anyway, longer saves me a little work!

At what point did you realise that Montezuma was persian, not aztec and so building archers would be suicide if he came at you with immortals?

Also, when you lay down a jungle city like the one you did and it starts out unhealthy, you can actually just work hammer tiles as a pop 1 city cant starve. Not sure if you didn't know this or just didn't bother checking because you play so fast but you weren't growing anyway so you could have got the monument in half the time!
