Why is HC doing so well? I thought way back when you got your first map it was a bit weird he'd already colonized the whole continent. The Andes are different on the Earth34 map presumably? Certainly makes for a much more interesting ending than normal Earth anyway

This Earth Map is from NEAL KOTW series which has an open in Panama and the Andes for colonization of the Amazon.

Askai the Brute: Cornering the Asian Spice Market
Askia had problems. His usual diet of roast meat from Europe, hearty grains from the middel east, and exotic fruits and vegetables from Africa were no longer cutting it. He yearned for something more and rumor had it there were rare spices to found in the Orient that were NOT being traded to Songhai.
Askia was determined to have his salt! He starts by ordering The Holy Roman fanatic to use the Sacred AP to harass Mao
Cities were retruned to good old Genghis.
Research continued
Allowing Askia to construct modern armor and upgrade this
To this
The time was ripe to take over the Orient
25,000 million troops swarmed into SouthEast Asia quickly liberating the captive Indians from Bombay
Tales in the streets of Bombay nformed Askia that his sought afetr spices were to found in the east.
Quickly the Songhai army was sent into the strange Khmerian lands
Sury provided little resistance to the onslaught
Askia was delighted by this new Thai food and was impressed with his army. So impressed that he decided to unleash the Songhai death armada
Then an unfortunate thing happened to Askia. He got some of the Chinese food smuggled to him that he heard rumors about. As he sat down to dine at his feast while the eastern armies were cut down like wheat he spit out the food. The taste was horrible, nothing like the wonderful Thai food. Askia was so irate that he ordered an immediate nuclear strike on the core cities producing this chinese filth called food.
Askia only wished he could have done more but the stupid commanders of the nuke refused to launch them with allies in those lands.
Ah so is the case, Askia's appetite starts to return after some nasty intestinal problem when he get's this notification
So Askia holds the AP and UN seats, marvelous.
However, Askia's rage at Mao has not been abated and his army continues to move into China and raze as many cities as they can.
Cheers come from all the SOnghai allies, particularly the Khan who is most pleased seeing his mortal enemy's lands glow green.
As things progress at a sickening pace in Asia, the European Armada approaches the Incan homelands and split up.
Hyuna is notified of the backstab
And mass chaos reigns in the new world.
The strategy here is to use Tactical nukes (HC has the SDI, so ICBMs are out) to destroy much of the cities while capturing the cities from the sea and razing them.
Much damage was done as the fleet headed North towards Maya and South towards the prime cities.
Meanwhille Mao had enough of Songhaian style warfare and threw himself on his knee to beg forgiveness.
Mao was brought in and immediately sent to the many kitchens in the Songhai empire to learn how to cook some proper food.
Tokugawa, a vassal of Mao, also offered his allegance
And was assigned to help teach Mao how to prepare Sushi properly.
Finally
Sury was given money and allowed to start his own chain of fast food Thai resturants. Soon the was a McSury at every corner arround the empire and Sury started dressing himself as a clown and advertised his products on TV.
However, the game is not aver as Hyuna continues to head towards Space
Problems occrred as one of the Songhai fleet was Tactical Nuked into oblivian. Askia shrugged and said, "it Happens"
The Northern fleet remained intact and began assaulting Northern Inca and the Mayans.
Pacal was reduced to one lone Pacific Island as all cities Mayan were bruned to the ground.
However, there was considerable work to be done in the South
At this point what remains of the Northern armada heads home as the army stays in Central America to begin a southern march. The question is if the army can get into the Incan Core cities without getting tactical Nuked? I am thinking we need a temporary peace to heal the Asia army and start again with Tactical nukes.
Hyuna is close but not unstoppable to space
Also taking on any more vassals gets us close to Domination while we want Conquest!
So what do you guys think???

Lamo! The reason for nuking china was hillarious! I was expecting an association with 24 and jack Bauer, not with bad food!!

HC has built SDI, so that's not an option, I'd say.
I only used nukes once in cIV, but even my Tacticals got intercepted by that stupid thing (was 3.17, IIRC - did they ever change that ?).

Just checked back in after the Christmas break and you're still showing the world a lil' Songhian loving. Great RPC, many thanks for the time and effort involved in posting this one. Maybe Sury can do sort of a franchise deal with Pericles for the McSury Taverna on a beach, coming to you soon

The Khmers, in modern times are Cambodians, from (strangely
) Cambodia!
And pretty much hate Thais...
Having travelled through SE Asia last year, I know a few Cambodians that would be HORRIFIED if they knew one of the most revered King's was thought of as Thai...
Anyway, greatly looking forward to the final update

Ah, another group that old Mad has ticked off! Still, there were certainly cities in Thailand when Askia rolled through, and Thai food in the states has a certain following while Cambodian food, is well, does it exist here???
