ROMAN 2 UU Request

Maybe a "Legion" would be the equivalent of a Civ3 "Army" unit with a Legionary, and an Auxiliary, and a Cavalry unit inside, or something like that (does anybody mix foot and mounted units in their armies? I don't...).

Quite possibly; again, it's a matter of scale, which is nothing if not vague in Civ3 ...

... Yet the simple fact is that most units -- if taken to represent their counterpartd in the allegedly "real" world -- would indeed have auxilliary and other supporting troops etc.

When I say "scale" btw I'm just asking a simple modding question, which is, What level of organization do you think these units represent? -- For example, for WW2, I might decide that on a 256x256 map, each unit is a division equivalent, whereas on a 100x100 map it's a corps, etc. This would impact what types of units I would use, as equipment "organic" to a corps could very well be independent units if you're conceiving the game to be on the division level.
