RoR Conquests Game

Sorry Senturus. I had the email go to the wrong place. Thanks for the bump. Played and sent. The evil Carthaginians are burning their own cities rather than let us capture them. The Celts decided that they wanted war, so I obliged them going to war with them.

The commander of the numidians mercenaries, said after his retreat : "I will return".

The great Carthaginian leader Hannibal was fierce to announce that in Carthaginian empire, the roman legions will never find another else than burning cities... or dead. "Burnt ground" are the word.

(i thought that we had to avoid diplomacy with AI civs until turn 10 ; but no problem, it doesn't change a lot of things)

My take was that it was no alliances until turn 10. You can sell them whatever, which I didn't. They are your best source for early gold which I really don't need as Rome, but they are in my way are blocking 2 luxes, want war, and really just kinda aggravate me. If everyone else thinks it is unfair for me to fight the Celts, I will replay my turn, but the Carthaginians will make me pay in blood for any poor moves, so I think they are already plotting my demise.

I made a mistake : i unterdstood that Rome turned the celts against Carthage, that's why i've said that. Rome declared war on Celts, this is not diplomacy, you're absolutely right. Sorry.

Yeah war is fine; I dont think they can send you much in the way of cash if you are killing one another ;p

Turn Played

1 Persian Archer wasted by Army outside of Ancyra, starting GA.
Other than that, nothing interesting except that Persia may be a little surprised by the change in buildup.

Umm Carthage... when I offered wines, it wasnt as charity. I wanted a lux or some cash... say 8gpt? ;p

Umm... It was my turn, but it seems like no one else has posted what happened.

Killed one Persian Archer (Ancyra I think) with Army

Turn sent to Portuga

Well... Usually, I only post whenever I get to eliminate some invaders :)

Ancyra was abandoned, in our desperate strugle to slow down the macedonian invading army.
One macedonian galley was sunk without persian losses.
One macedonian horseman was eliminated by one of our horseman in the road noth of Iconium.

IMO, it's nice to post the results of combats, because if you don't your adversaries won't know what you sent against them.

You may also post any other interesting stuff that happens. It increases the flavor of the game :)

I wasted a Numidian Merc, but lost to a 2nd one.
The Celts lost a city to me as well as some offensive units that they sent my way.

Darn, I thought that my fortified galley could get at least one of your little bastards ;p

And you burned the city? Sheeit...

Oh well, burnination is better than youhavingation ;p

Still, at least the horse dude did his job; hope you didnt send a lot of friends to play with him

:spear:

Macedon forever!

The carthaginians of Sicile tryed a counter-attack against the wounded roman legion. A swordman died first, but a numidian mercenary won.

A naval battle occured near the battle-field: two roman galley have sunk ; but one carthaginian galley sank too, and another has taken damages.

I destroyed a spear and the said Numidian Merc, along with sinking a galley and damaging another one.

A new sicilian city refused to surrender. His garnison of spearmen tried a suicide assault against a roman legion.
