Well, 50 pics of that 12 turns turnset ... that is a record for me :/
Anyway, after the costumary time to get into "the beast" , I pressed enter and got a GSpy and a GE. GSpy still on the rocks, GE would have other use ...
This one deserves a pic:
I still don't understand from where this mayan cav came out. Taking no prisioners probably helped :/
Anyway, costumary turn killing stuff, especially mayan infantries. No revolts as far as my pics go :-(
Next turn my new and fresh settlers grabbed the then avaliable spots:
The second is just a excuse to use 2 dead tiles, but the first is a strategical necessity to rob land out of Gondar ( we had tile culture to get the , but no city in reach ). I would settle 2 more cities later ... one in the "city" spot and other in the ethiopian coast halfway between Debre and Gondar.
Mining ing in
I've been spreading it during the set. It is giving 27 hammers/turn ... quite nice.
Revolt in Mayan lands:
The AP vote in this turn, as expected, was for AP leader. I obviously voted for Zara .
Peace deal with Pacal:
Couldn't take any more cities in this turn and I was not with intentions of prolonging the war more ( wanted to the AP vote to beat in the last turn of the enforced peace deal ). Why this city? Simple: it was the last Mayan city with a hammer output superior to 1.
We had a revolt in Aksum next turn. Peanuts ...
1952 came next with Superconductors ( avoiding Comps ) and a wardec:
Also stolen Fascism to build Rushmore in this turn ... 5 mad faces are not good.
Another revolt ...
In the next turn our border expansion near the French made us fulfill the quest we had:
Money for nothing ...
1956 would be a very agitated year: revolts in Uxmal and Bagacum, teched genetics ( straight to Future tech ) and started a new fresh war:
The next turn would see the same medicine delivered to Zara.... we also got a new and fresh GE that same turn.
Some time later, another grab:
And one of worries goes down without much of a fuss:
Also the turn of the AP vote:
I chose Chichen Itza ... the vote passed. Pacal really loves to give his caps away. BTW revolts in Uxmal and Tolosa and Future tech #1
Next turn ( the last of the set ), as said above, we got Chichen Itza via AP. But not only:
Nukes were instrumental in these 2 ... better said, another glitch of combat in civ IV:
I launched 2 nukes against the highlighted spot. As you can see , it's damage radius ( the 3x3 square centered on the nuke impact point ) will hit French and Ethiopian units and also Avignon ( reducing it's pop and building load will make it more likely to be got in a peace deal ). So for one nuke, I got 10 war success points vs the french and other 10 vs the Ethiopian
I ended the set here. And the magic number is ...
Most of what I could say I already said 2 posts below. Besides that ... make industrial centers, supermarkets, airports ... we don't actually need to build much of spies anymore. But that is small change . I think that at this point we could win with every city in wealth
