I only saw the "highlights", but, quite frankly, if any of the major rugby nations had committed the tackles the Fijians did, then they would have been given far more yellow cards. I don't quite understand this mentality of applying the rules more loosely to minor nations.

I'm all for the so called minnows spanking the overprotected and established 8 traditional countries, but to be fair you have a point there. At some period of the France-Georgia game for example, the ref pretty much admitted he was applying the rules differently to both teams...

I can't see Fiji, France England and Scotland beating up the ones above. Maybe some Champaign Rugby from France would lead us to a try or two, but when you are scored 29 tries in 23 minutes, it doesn't really matter.

So much for my prediction that Ireland would be the best Northern hemisphere team. I would agree with LAnkou, I can not really see France, Scotland, England or Fiji progressing to the semis.

Looking at the England team for the Australia game I think that prediction looks fairly safe.

England are going great, 12-10 they are winning just by kicking. Its a great game, everytime the crowd sing swing low its awesome.
