There can be many historical ironies with this, A Foreign Legion fighting with Britain (or anyone not french), a Longbowman fighting with the French, a Roman Legionnaire fighting with the Egyptians, a Panzer fighting with anyone who fought with the Allies in World War II, the list can go on and on.
