I was like six and a big fan when he died :p

Eh, what can I say? People are overly sensitive sometimes.

I thought all the derailing was meant to go into the new s**t posting thread?

oh, um, uuh, sh...
Hows the mods going, ryanjames?!

I've 3 mods in various stages of completion, I still need to integrate some code into the Guanches, but I also got the unique resource skin recently, so that's good. Still alot of work todo for Sogdiana, but still close to completion. Secret civ :3 also has all the art as you may be aware. We may have multiple releases over Easter.

Once those are out of the way, I guess I'll start work on Senegal, the Gupta and Elam.

So, my interest has yet again been piqued for an Elamite civ, so I'd like to create a conclusive design

Leader- Kutik-Inshushinak, Shutruk-Nakhkhunte

The former re-established Elamite independence from Akkad/Sumer and sought to introduce the old Elamite script among other things into Elamite society, promoting Elamite culture/unity. He was, as you might have guessed a competent warrior too. The latter ruled the empire at its height, conquering Sumer and beginning extensive building projects etc.

I kindof prefer the former because seems more of an interesting character, and there's also more info on wikipedia about him.

This is the kindof design I was going for

UA-"Kings of Anshan and Susa"

5% wonder production per city state ally (capped at 25%)+some other bonus

UU-Zagros Militia

Warrior that is cheaper to build, gains various hill bonuses

UB-Apadana

Earlier amphitheater wiht something relating to city states

Awwww, no Gaels? :p

Looking forward to the Guanches though - glad to hear that you managed to get a skin for the unique resource. It's awesome that you included that despite the extra work involved in getting a hold of it.

Did you post a design for the Gupta anywhere?

No Gaels for now because I've lost interest in doing them.

Also, don't thank me, thank BouncyMischa, he did all the work ^^

Design for the Gupta was roughly

UA: Gain golden age points for expending great people (or when they are born). 20% science during golden ages.

UU-Steel bowman, composite bowman requiring iron, significantly stronger+something cool

UB-Citrisala, library/uni replacement with some science/GP bonuses

I wonder if this has the potential for a leader base, it's a depiction of Cyrus the Great, though Persian emperors generally wore Elamite dress. The crown would have to go, as well as maybe the BG. The actual pose itself could also be better. (leader will be Kutik-Inshushinak btw, he might be too early for this type of clothing)

I have a test version of Sogdiana up and running, all it really needs is the civilopedia, decisions support and balancing.

If people could test the mod for me for the purposes of balancing, then that would be very good
