SAM Mobile & Artillery Mobile

Yes sorry but we know about them already. Around the 10th thread about this.

I didn't knew about it. cool. are they animated?
probably i will have a useage of rocket artillery parts and rocket launching effect

They are animated, yes. Firaxis shipped them completely with all bells and whisles.

it's weird why they didn't put them to the game. it makes me really froustrating slow artillery in comparison with fast moving tanks
. it's hard to make blitzkrieg :)

DOWNLOAD SAM & ARTILLERY MOBILE

These look good, I have a question, I see the unitinfos.xml files, great saves a lot of time, but I don't see the unitartinfos, I don't understand how to make them work without the unitartinfos information, should I just copy the arty unitartinfos and replace the art tag with these new art tags in the unitmeshgroups?

there is another file that controls that, in another folder, the ART folder I believe, in the XML folder. Civ4ArtDefines_unit.xml, IIRC.

right sorry, it's ArtDefines_unit.xml, either way I didn't see it in my download?

That moble Artilery should have its Barrel raised at a 45 degree angle, that would help make it more "artileryish" and less "tankish" IMHO. Can anyone do that?

WWII era mobile or self-propelled artillery/howitzers (SPH) look "tankish" because they were built around modified tank hulls. The Germans were the first to produce purpose-built self-propelled artillery pieces IIRC. Modern SPHs look "tankish" because one their purposes, besides mobility, is crew protection... and the best way to achieve that is by using the tried and true; ie: tank hulls designs.

Yes I know that, I'm saying it should look less tankish so that I can tell them apart when looking at them, and anyways they raise the Barrel to fire so its not inacurate to have the model use a raised barrel.
