What!?!?! No Dan Quayle??? I'm insulted!

Great work, team. This was a lot of fun. It looks like Alex was doing better against Khan than we were. Or maybe Khan just hated us more and was hitting us with his best stuff.

well first i'd like to thank my really great team. reall without them it would just be me and everyone would get bored. i think akuma sama was especially good for his first SG he wrote some of the best reports i've heard .

secondly i'd like to thank that man in the shy on that cloud with the steel lining. the machine god. you were the one that made this SG funny and get all the views yor advise guided us through next time hopefully you will be improved and i can try you again.

finally the lurkers. this SG was my first hosted and i was very supried and glad to see how many of you replied i think the succes of this was due to its overwhelming difficulty. the lurkers are truly the best i canhope you were entertained and will be in my next SG i will host now and lurkers you are very welcome and players here.

if your online now then i'll give you the title.

sand 02: prince of persia, the sands of time

Bravo!

This was truly a unique SG, and it was funny as heck to read. Kudos to you all for playing this one to the bitter, bitter end.

I'd say if this type of variant is ever run again, that there should definitely be a little bit of change to how often the Computer Overlord needs to be followed.

Great job, chaps!!

Lurkin'

I am bitterly disappointed that you lost faith in the Machine God. 47 turns left. The Machine God rewards his faithful followers with 40 turns to go (every available tech, every available building and unclaimed wonder, and of course the machinegod tile improvement (20H,10F,900C) on every tile). Still, serves you right for your fickleness.

Akuma Sama: Is there a mod that gibes you the smiley faces next to the other leader's names like in your screen shots or is that warlords?

Its a mod. I forget the name of it, but I'm pretty sure it is included in Ruff's Modpack. Along with a lot more nifty goodies ...

Incase anyone wonders why the PA never worked, you can't sign permenent alliances with the crazy dudes. This includes good ol Monty, Alex, Nappy and Toku. Coulda made it if you didn't choose alex...><

ever since i wrote my pa rant in my mission from god event report, i've been looking through the xml files. for instance, under toku in civ4leaderheadinfos.xml, we get the following...

Code:
<PermanentAllianceRefuseAttitudeThreshold>ATTITUDE_FRIENDLY</PermanentAllianceRefuseAttitudeThreshold>

under cyrus we get...

Code:
<PermanentAllianceRefuseAttitudeThreshold>ATTITUDE_PLEASED</PermanentAllianceRefuseAttitudeThreshold>

now, since i did get a pa with cyrus after he became friendly, i'll assume that refuseattitude is the lowest attitude he'll refuse you. since toku is friendly, i presume that it truly is impossible to get a pa with toku. that is just stupid.

for reference, the leaders (in vanilla) with this same line are alex, nappy, and toku. montezuma's threshold is pleased.

in warlords, the impossible pas are alex, nappy, and toku as well, which surprised me. i fully expected shaka on that list.

i'll remember that for next time i play an SG. which will proabaly be sometime after the next expansion. so look out for it.

lurkers comment

Loved this SG... Maybe you should post a thread in the "strategy and hints" forum called "336 reasons to not take the advice of the computer in CivIV" ( number of posts except this one ) and just give a link to this SG... It would be very educational..... :rotfl:

educational. maybe. the chilling thing is that i still follow computer advice sometimes.
