I've got a quick question about the Satellite tech. I'm playing a game for the HoF right now so I wanted to know the answer before I proceed. I searched the forums and resources here and was unable to find an answer.
When you research the tech it reveals the world map. So is that basically a free recon of the entire world on the turn you get it? It reveals everything including troop locations and the like?
And does this obsolete the aircraft recon missions, or does it only last that one turn?
The reason I ask is that I'm planning to nuke my opponent (it's the only way I'll be able to win the required domination victory, they have a tech lead and power/troop lead) and I want to make sure that I get all of their stacks and sources of uranium (they don't have ecology yet, so it could cripple their nuke production if there's fallout). I figure launching a surprise attack on the turn I get satellites might be the way to go. There are parts of her empire that I'm unable to reach with recon.
So, to summarize... does Satellite recon the whole map? And if it does, is this permanent until the end of the game or only for that one turn?
